California is the only state in the United States and the WORLD to enact comprehensive coastal management legislation in 1976.

I was the only local government rep to attend the passage of the legislation in Sacto, and the subsequent Coastal Commission's Administrative Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines over a year's time.

It is because of my unique knowledge that I continue to keep you informed re: developments of global warming and its effects on the coastlines, cities, states, lowlands, and islands of the world. On 4/16/09, I requested my Congressman Jerry Lewis, (R-CA- 41st),and Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee seek amendatory language to any pending legislation that would provide funding to the "STAR WARS PROGRAM" to DEFLECT the incoming APOPHIS ASTEROID OR ANY NEAR EARTH OBJECT (NEO). The APOPHIS ASTEROID is due to come within 18,000 miles of earth in 2029 and maybe closer in 2036. The 18,000 miles is closer than our existing COMMUNICATION SATELLITES. There is a chance that it will impact the earth in 2036!

Should it impact the earth in 2036 or thereafter, the APOPHIS ASTEROID would destroy all life on earth.

Russian treason bill could hit Kremlin critics

MOSCOW – New legislation backed by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin would allow Russian authorities to label any government critic a traitor — a move that rights activists said Wednesday was a chilling throwback to times of Soviet dictator Josef Stalin.

The bill, which is expected to become law, would expanded the definition of treason to include damaging Russia's constitutional order, sovereignty or territorial integrity. That, rights activists said, would essentially let authorities interpret any act against state as treason — a crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

REGARDING CANVASS THE MEMBERSHIP

Would you canvass the Membership to determine who would be willing to install a natural gas (CNG) pump in their gasoline stations?

The installation of such a pump would help prevent global warming and the Members could advertise such.

Honda and Toyota are producing CNG fueled vehicles. The big 3 used to produce CNG vehicles up through 2005, but quit because of lack of public fueling sites for consumers, except for the Ford Crown Victoria for law enforcement fleets.

Shell Oil CO has responded favorably to this idea, initially.

I share your concern about the rising cost of gasoline, and I agree that we must take steps to reduce our dependence on oil and increase our energy security. Putting more CNG vehicles on the road and investing in the infrastructure to make CNG fuel accessible for drivers may help us achieve that goal.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the consumption of CNG nationwide has risen by 145 percent over the past six years, increasing the demand for CNG fueling stations.

Recently, the "Big Three" automakers returned to ask Congress to authorize bridge loans to cover day-to-day operations. I have requested President Elect Obama to consider convening a meeting with the oil companies and natural gas utilities companies to hash out an agreement, whereby, the oil companies would install CNG pumps at their gasoline stations as they have done with diesel.

As you know, the reason that the big 3 automakers stopped producing CNG autos for consumers is because of a lack of CNG fueling sites for the public, although Honda and Toyota are displaying their CNG models at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show

I just found out, I think its a hoot myself (lol). No incentive or prizes for this, but whoever is the first to guess this is a really good guesser! (You can play too, David).

Where as, the California Congressional Delegation SHOULD sponsor/co-sponsor amendatory language to correct the absence of natural gas (CNG and LNG) as an alternative fuel in the existing and pending loans legislation to the Detroit automakers; and

Where as, natural gas is recognized and approved by the EPA, the California Air Resources Board, the South Coast Air Quality Manage District, and the California Energy Commission as bonafide alternative fuels for use in vehicles, such as, public transit buses, school buses, trucks in our seaports,and airports,sanitation districts truck fleets, law enforcement fleets, taxi cabs, and private vehicles, IN GENERAL; and

Where as, it is the private automobile that emits the most pollutants into our atmosphere. It is time to confront this problem head on by switching to an alternative fuel that is not gasoline; and

The mainstream media, CBS, aired a few moments of protestors who forced their way into a Fannie Mae office today on evening news.
That has to be rare, but may signal a very belated improvement in truthful journalism and reporting. They waited long enough.
Other stations and networks had better wake up and start reporting all the grave situations connected with today's political and financial crises in the U.S..
