Legal Issues: Israel Settlements; Palestine Lands

In the news these days. Israel continues to maintain it's policy
of building settlements; 900 housing units. Protests from the U.S.,
the European Union, Britain and the Palestinians are rendered,
published and shown the world press, media.

Behind the issue of settlement constructions is the one of
Legality; whether or not the building is legal under Israel Law
and/or International Law. For years this question has been asked
and many answers given yet no solution has been found.

There is also the moral and humanitarian concerns of the building
of housing on the land the Palestinians claim as their own; and suffer
from Israel's policies of exclusion and retribution in confiscating,
evicting and demolishing their homes. These issues too have been
condemned by the International Community.

For years Palestinians have been forced to yield under Israeli's tyranny
in having their homeland and homes damaged, destroyed or confiscated
by the Israeli Police under illegal jurisdiction as declared by the United Nations
and other concerned organizations and peoples. The Palestinians too are suffering from the devastation of Gaza, one of the worst attacks upon innocent civilians in modern times. Now, as the United Nations is giving both Israel and Gaza 3 months to investigate their parts if that horrible conflict, the issue of Jewish settlements is, once again, in the news.

I've put together from a few sources (and there are a great many!) the history

Need to Oppose Afghan Troop Increases

If we make a concerted effort to voice opposition to the call for more

troops in Afghanistan, alert our friends and associates, notify the Media,

alert the Public, etc. then we have a chance to prevent further escalation

of the war and all that it would entail. Let us stand up against those in Think Tanks who choose to escalate war to promote their own agenda, and special interests.

She died when an Israeli shell was fired at the backyard of her home in the Jabalya refugee camp northern Gaza strip, where she was playing.

When her parents attempted to rush to the rescue of their kid, who fell to the ground amid a pool of her blood, rains of Israeli bullets kept them a distance.

For the next five days Shahd's which was left lying in the open left for dogs to tear out.

"The dogs did leave one single part of the poor baby's body intact," said a tearful Abu Aukal.
