A Civil Resistance demonstration was staged, on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in late afternoon, in front of the White House, to spotlight the continued incarceration of the "political prisoner, Mumia Abu-Jamal." About thirty activists were arrested. Earlier in the day, there had been a spirited rally/parade on his behalf at the US Justice Department.
