Leila Zand is the Director of Fellowship of Reconciliation's Task Force on the Middle East. She is an Iranian-American who lived in Iran during the Iran-Iraq war and the reform years of the late 1990s.
Larry Everest writes for Revolution newspaper (revcom.us), and is the author of Oil, Power & Empire: Iraq and the U.S. Global Agenda. In 1979 and 1980, he covered the Iranian revolution, reporting from Tehran, including interviewing Islamists holding the U.S. Embassy, and Iranian Kurdestan.
Ali Abdi is a PhD student at Yale in Anthropology. He was a student activist in Iran who participated in post-election protests there in the summer of 2009.
