I will be at the White House Thursday with hundreds of people pledging civil disobedience to stop federal approval of the Keystone Pipeline from Canada's tar sands to Texas refineries. The invitation to participate says, "To call this project a horror is serious understatement... the Keystone Pipeline would also be a fifteen hundred mile fuse to the biggest carbon bomb on the continent, a way to make it easier and faster to trigger the final overheating of our planet, the one place to which we are all indigenous."
My friend Margot Kidder, a superwoman, was arrested Tuesday in the protests. Front row, red hair. As of Wednesday August 24, 275 people of the expected 2,100+ have been arrested in front the White House. Watch the action from Day 1 HERE . But don't stop there! Sign the petition .
