OPERATION NOBLE CAUSE
SITUATION:
August 6, 2005 George W. Bush told the world that the parents of fallen heroes in Iraq could rest assured their lived ones died for a noble cause. Gold Star Families for Peace founder, Cindy Sheehan traveled to Crawford, Texas to ask the president what "noble cause" our fallen soldiers died for. Bush has refused to meet and Cindy has refused to leave. Since August 6, 2005 Operation Noble Cause has grown from a one woman operation to a massive campaign involving more than seven hundred people.
MISSION:
Operation Noble Cause (Expeditionary): Iraq Veterans are encouraged to volunteer for service in Crawford, TX for a period of three to five days. Airfare, campsite, and rations will be provided.
Operation Noble Cause (Service): Anyone not available to travel can support Operation Noble Cause in a variety of other ways:
Write a letter to your Senator or Representative urging him/her to issue public statements urging the president to meet with Cindy.
Call the Whitehouse Comment line 202-456-1111 and say "Meet with Cindy."
E-mail the Whitehouse at comments@whitehouse.gov [1] and say the same three words.
Drive with your headlights on during the day and place a sign saying "Hey, George Meet with Cindy!" on your windshield to show solidarity.
Organize a vigil or street side protest in your community to show support.

EQUIPMENT:
Though there is no specific "gear list" for those participating in Operation Noble Cause. However, the following equipment is suggested/needed:
1. Military spec General Purpose Tent.
2. Military Spec Shelter Halves w/ poles, spikes and guidelines.
3. Sleeping Bag/Pillow
4. Insect repellant
5. Sun Block
6. Sunglasses
COUNTER ACTIVITY:
There have been little or no meaningful counter protests. Though a few people with obviously opposite opinions have been active in the area the actions have been very small in number and have lasted only a few minutes.
