About 200 - 250 people showed up to march around the capitol square in Madison, Wisconsin, and we only got "rained on" a little bit, so the clouds kept us in the mild seventies. We were to start at 10am but it took another fifteen minutes to put together the LIES posters supported on bamboo poles, about eight of them connected together, white letters on black sheets. We filled up an entire city block as we moved the one block to the capitol square, which was filled with farmers market buyers. Many of them cheered us on, grinned or gave us the thumbs up, as WORT radio interviewed some of us and some of them. We stopped at each of the four corners of the square and I explained to the crowd that it was the 3rd Anniversary of the Downing Street Minutes, which proved that our government had lied us into war.

We chanted "Face the Truth, Fire and Liars, and Bring the Troops Home Now", our main slogan for the march. Then I'd asked the marchers, how did we get into this war? And they'd shout back "lies". What kind of lies? "Big Lies". What should we do with Bush? "Impeach him". Then we'd break into chants of "jail to the chief" or later "U.S. out of the Middle East". At the rally we had the producer and star of "Billy Jack", Tom Coughlin, tell us his plan to get out of Iraq and his six commercials that turn 60% Bush voters into 87% in favor of impeachment, and his plans for a movie next year, with guaranteed preplacement sales largely in Europe. http://www.billyjack.com. He claimed that Bush planned to invade Iraq sometime in his first term even before he took office. We also heard from a professor who had been to Iraq and described how we refused to allow democracy to take place in places like Fallujah, choosing to bomb them and imposing leaders on them instead.
