Mad Hatters in the UK
Given the fact that the Mad Hatter's Teaparty planned for Downing Street had to be postponed due to the security situation in London; activists from Bedford Stop the War took the party to Bedford town centre. As well as recreating the Downing Street meeting, we were able to express our view that Bush and Blair are part of the problem, NOT part of the solution, and for the future stability of the world they must both go.
We had some quizzical interest, and were delighted to recruit a new member.
Bedford is 50 miles north of London and at one time was the most culturally diverse town in the country. We are home to over 100 different people groups, and 60 different languages are spoken here.
We are so pleased to have been able to stand with you all today in raising awareness of this scandal. The London event, with STWC will take place on Monday 1st August.

For the courage to start this ball rolling. We here in the USA are blinded by our "Tass" styled media. They are being forced to take note now however. Hopefully it wont be too late. Our leaders are terrifying..

Thanks for your encouragement! We are still very upset not to have been able to do our bit in Downing Street but the security is mad there at the moment. We are so delighted that you are all so committed to this campaign, it is essential if we, as the two nations most implicated in this illegal war, are to ever regain any respect in the wider world. Don't give up, this campaign is another wonderful example of people power. The web has given us the power to bypass the mainstream media who would prefer to remain silent.
