Alert from The Nation Magazine
Dear EmailNation Subscriber,
Tomorrow, July 23, is the three-year anniversary of the meeting at Ten Downing Street in London, that was recorded in the now infamous minutes known as the "Downing Street Memo." Suggesting that the Bush Administration was intent on going to war with Iraq with or without intelligence on Saddam's WMD, the memo has given new impetus (and vindication) to antiwar critics of the invasion.
To highlight these disclosures, there are more than 150 events for tomorrow planned coast to coast. In New York City, The Nation and Democrats.Com are teaming up to present a public forum at the New York Society of Ethical Culture.

I'm a Republican and I want the Downing Street Memo's investigated,immediately.
The question being asked is,"should we investigate the downing street memo's?"
The question I have is "Why hasn't the downing street memn's been investigated?"
the short answer is that the Republicans control Congress and not enough of them have your integrity. But a few have begun to question the war, so there is hope that a few may begin to question the lies that launched the war.
BTW that post is not an invitation for posts asking if we believe Democrats are saints. If all the Democrats stood together and raised hell on this some Republicans would join them. Sadly, half the Dems curl up in a corner and whimper until the Republicans act first.
We just need to get more of the horses pulling in the other direction.
In a word: money. The CPA (Coalition Provisional Authority) can't account for some 8.8 billion dollars. That's a lot of money -- do you know what could be done with that much? For one, you could buy off Tim Russert ... about 88 million times over! You can be certain that some of that cash is in the back pockets of corporate media executives, some in DeLay's slush, er, legal defense fund, some in other congresscritters' back pockets. Some may even be in Sandra Day O'Connor's purse.
And some left for further adventures, false flag operations, etc.
