Vigil Last Night in San Diego

By Leon Thompson

Seventy-two people participated in the candle-light vigil held in the middle of Congressman Duncan Hunter's district. Two school girls read from the Bill of Rights and the Constitution of the United States.

Congressional candidate Derek Cassidy (in photo) spoke powerfully about the change in the political dialogue, and indeed the political climate, in East County San Diego. Investigative reporter, Miriam Raftery, spoke about the chilling effect on free-speech the President's illegal wire-tapping has already produced.
