Blair's alliance with Bush bombed

The Independent
Friday, July 8, 2005

"If you bomb our cities," Osama bin Laden said in a recent videotape, "we will bomb yours."' It was clear Britain would be a target ever since British Prime Minister Tony Blair decided to join President Bush's "war on terror" and his invasion of Iraq. We had, as they say, been warned. The G-8 summit was obviously chosen, well in advance, as Attack Day.

It's no use Blair telling us, "They will never succeed in destroying what we hold dear." They are not trying to destroy "what we hold dear." They are trying to get public opinion to force Blair to withdraw from Iraq, out of his alliance with the United States, out of his adherence to Bush's policies in the Middle East. The Spanish paid the price for their support for Bush -- and Spain's subsequent retreat from Iraq proved that the Madrid bombings achieved their objectives -- while the Australians were made to suffer in Bali.

It is easy for Blair to call yesterday's bombings "barbaric" -- they were -- but what were the civilian deaths of the Anglo American invasion of Iraq in 2003, the children torn apart by cluster bombs, the innocent Iraqis gunned down at American military checkpoints. When they die, it is "collateral damage"; when "we" die it is "barbaric terrorism."

If we are fighting insurgency in Iraq what makes us believe insurgency won't come to us? One thing is certain: If Blair really believes that by "fighting terrorism" in Iraq we could more efficiently protect Britain, this argument is no longer valid.

To time these bombs with the G-8 summit, when the world was concentrating on Britain, was not a stroke of genius. You don't need a Ph.D. to choose another Bush- Blair handshake to close down a capital city with explosives and massacre its citizens. The G-8 summit was announced so far in advance that he gave the bombers all the time they needed to prepare. A coordinated system of attacks of the kind we saw yesterday takes weeks to plan; we can forget the idiotic fantasy these were timed to coincide with the Olympic decision. Bin Laden and his supporters don't set up an operation like this on the off chance that France will lose its bid to host the Games. Al-Qaida does not play football.

No, this would have taken months -- to choose safe houses, prepare explosives, identify targets, ensure security, choose the bombers, to plan the communications.

Coordination and sophisticated planning -- and the usual utter indifference toward the lives of the innocent -- are characteristic of al-Qaida.

Let us reflect on the fact that yesterday -- the opening of the G-8 -- represented a total failure of our security services. These are the same intelligence "experts" who claim there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when there were none but who utterly failed to uncover a months-long plot to kill Londoners.

Trains, planes, buses, cars, metros. Transportation appears to be the science of al-Qaida's dark arts. No one can search 3 million London commuters every day. No one can stop every tourist.

Then come the Muslims of Britain, who have long been awaiting this nightmare. Now every one of our Muslims becomes the usual suspect, the man or woman with brown eyes, the man with the beard, the woman in the scarf, the boy with the worry beads, the girl who says she's been racially abused.

I remember, crossing the Atlantic on 9/11 -- my plane turned around off Ireland when the United States closed its airspace -- how the aircraft purser and I toured the cabins to see if we could identify any suspicious passengers. I found about a dozen, of course, totally innocent men who had brown eyes or long beards or who looked at me with "hostility." And sure enough, in just a few seconds, bin Laden turned nice, liberal, friendly Robert into an anti-Arab racist.

And this is part of the point of yesterday's bombings: to divide British Muslims from British non-Muslims (let us not mention the name Christians), to encourage the very kind of racism that Blair claims to resent.

But here's the problem. To go on pretending that Britain's enemies want to destroy "what we hold dear" encourages racism; what we are confronting here is a specific, direct, centralized attack on London as a result of a "war on terror" that Blair has locked us into. Just before the U.S. presidential elections, bin Laden asked: "Why do we not attack Sweden?" Lucky Sweden. No Osama bin Laden there. And no Tony Blair.

"Questioning the New Imperial World Order
A Hearing on the Project for the New American Century ( PNAC)
and its war policies put into effect under the Bush administration by the invasion of Iraq"

The fact that the Bushies lied about most everything related to the Iraq invasion and still "refuse" to put together an effort to get Bin Laden is maddening.

Taking proffer # 2, I can see there is no slack left in the Armed Forces, hence we can't run "search and destroy", like we ran against Saddam, against Bin Laden AND there are certain diplomatic issues.

That's another rancid pile of Texas bull shit!

AND why drop everything and go after Iraq? There's nothing but downside risk there.

Now Bush is trying to "face into the wind and water" like George Washington.

I find these events remarkable!

Watching the McLaughlin Group last night, McLaughlin asked the big question, was the London bombing related to Iraq. One or two grudgingly and unwillingly acknowledged there might be some connection while the others vehemently denied a connection and parroted the big Bush/Blair lies they hate us for our freedom. The most disturbing thought presented was that any change of policy in Iraq or Afghanistan was nothing more than appeasment. Thats when I changed the channel. Appeasment indeed, I think it is really called minding your own business. It's the foreign policy stupid!

The United States for decades has been going all around the world, supporting dictators and tyrants, overthrowing democraticaly elected governments, killing and bombing people, using economic sanctions to coerce whole countries... and guess what some people don't like it, gee can you imagine that, how ungrateful can they be.

It's the foreign policy stupid!

St. Germain

The aftermath of any disturbance on Earth, natural or otherwise has people in some confusion. Your instinct for survival comes into play and it has served you well over thousands of years. In modern times you usually get over natural disasters quite quickly, and there are always steps taken to lessen the affects of any recurrence. However, man made disasters such as deliberate terrorism are not easy to monitor or prevent, and the fear and worry carries on for some time. The indiscriminate bombings without warning are designed for maximum disruption, injury and death. These are fearful weapons, particularly when the perpetrators cannot be identified outwardly. They are more fearful when the suspicion is that they are planned by your own secret services that are something of a mystery at the best of times.

People are generally more resilient to the intrusions in their private lives than they were not too many years ago. To their credit, the residents and travelers through London have thrown off any residue of fear and are determined to show the terrorists that they will not be cowed into submission. This is a wonderful response, and goes a long way to restore the situation where people can travel around and move freely and feel safe. Oh yes, they will be more vigilant but the important aspect is their resolve to immediately get back to normal. They have found strength in coming together and the dark energies are already being dissipated. The sorrow and hurt of those directly involved in the explosions will last longer, but even they are determined to show the terrorists that they will not allow them to win the fight.

In the U.S. so many people are actively involved in finding out the truth of a number of terrorist attacks that are of a suspicious nature. Consequently their efforts to bring them to the attention of the public are beginning to get through. Even although attempts are made to destroy or conceal the evidence, there is sufficient proof to satisfy people that a proper investigation should take place, and the guilty ones identified. There is a tremendous awakening taking place, and it is happening world-wide and is leading to a call for massive changes in governments. It has taken a long time to get here, but it is beginning to be understood how the people are manipulated. People want more transparency and accountability in governmental dealings, and see the first step is to appoint the right type of representative.

Humanity has not progressed very well when it comes to recognizing those with political ambitions that are of a selfish nature. This will however change very soon and this is also part of the awakening. Leaders are rising up that can be patently seen for what they are, and they have that self assurance and manner of speaking that shows their natural concern and interest in the people. The lies and half truths that are usually the way of most politicians are being hung out to dry, and they come back to haunt them. There was a time when you trusted your politicians and genuinely believed that they worked in your best interests, but no longer.

Perhaps you can see how of necessity you must reappraise your ways of selecting your candidates. In the main those who have represented you have not been ideal, and like humanity in general have leaned towards materialism without spiritual balance. I do not mean that they should adopt any particular religion, but be of a spiritual understanding that is evident in their decisions. In such circumstances, there would be a real chance of world peace being achieved because of their higher principles and beliefs. Neither am I talking about the imposition of puritanical ways that would simply take you to other extremes.

The right people recognize the Oneness of everything and the Brotherhood of Man. Their wisdom and understanding would reveal this in all of their decisions. Political systems all over the world will have to change to reflect the new mood of the people, and this is why it will need the backing of the Higher Forces of Light. Guidance is waiting and the changes that are about to occur cannot be left to the mercy of the old ways. When the go ahead is signaled the quickness of the changes will take your breath away. The old must be cleared away where it will not serve the new Man that is emerging. Any doubt or hesitancy by those who are yet unprepared for the changes, will fade away very rapidly when they understand the reasons for them.

The changes are the fulfilment of that which you have desired, and which you have created in your vision of the future. They will therefore come naturally to you and in full acceptance. There will be so much knowledge to impart and the missions to Earth will cover your re-education in all matters. The greatest obstacles are your pre-conceived ideas of the truth of your being. However, this will be addressed in many ways and not least of all by your family from space. There are already people on Earth who came to set the seeds of change in place, and they are to be congratulated for doing the groundwork. Have no doubt, that your aid will be requested when the appropriate time arrives.

Dear Ones, I am St. Germain and fully engaged in work that is coming to fruition that should soon see the major changes being declared. On Earth at present, the opening up of your consciousness is allowing you to participate in bringing in the higher energies. Other activities are breaking up the chains that have held you to the past, and the overall picture shows that there will shortly be a massive breakthrough. As always keep your focus on the Light, and do not let the last actions of the dark deflect you from your path.

Remember, that in the ultimate there is only the One Light of All That Is. You are also of that Eternal Light and carry great energies of Love with you. Live your life accordingly, and together we shall bring that Light to Earth and all her people.

Thank you St .Germain

Mike Quinsey
