Save the First Amendment--from Karl Rove

From Editor & Publisher, July 5, 2005
By Bill Israel

In 99.9 percent of cases I know, journalists must not break the bonds of appropriate confidentiality, to protect their ability to report, and to defend the First Amendment. I’ve testified in court to that end, and would do so again.

But the Valerie Plame-CIA case that threatens jail time for reporters from Time and The New York Times this week is the exception that shatters the rule. I guess Mr. Israel just moved to the top of the Karl Rove to-do list. When is someone going to get some balls and send that Facist Pig Coward Rove to hell. Pardon my rant. Rove's comments about liberals , my son Robert is a liberal and served in Iraq, makes me want to give him some THERAPY .

Just came back from lunch where I heard about the situation in London. This is the kind of thing which just a few days ago was predicted in several comments on this site. With the heat on Rove and the administration, what better way to get and keep the MSM detached from the neocons misdeeds.

Now, all you self-RIGHTeous wingnuts can crawl all over me and call me a terrorist. After you get done venting, maybe y'all should look carefully at the evidence and how the puzzle pieces all fit together.

As I constantly state in my comments on this site, we are still all AMERICANS, FIRST AND FOREMOST! This IS a Constitutional democracy, not a monarchy nor a dictatorship. The Executive Branch currently in place has shaken the foundation upon which this country was built. I fear this latest incident could be yet another piece of the puzzle.
