Wolfowitz Says Iraq War Might Not Have Occurred if United States Knew Hussein Had No WMD

ORIGINAL

Former U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz said yesterday that the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq might not have occurred if the United States had known there were no weapons of mass destruction in the country, Agence France-Presse reported (see GSN, Dec. 5).

“I'm not sure based on the evidence we know now that we could have been absolutely convinced that there was no danger, absolutely no danger,

I recall that Wolfy has been on record as saying the whole WMD thing was only the marketing pitch for the war to the American public (or words to that effect). I guess now that time has gone on, he has in true NeoCon style, overwritten reality once again to suit his needs. A lack of conscience is a BIG, big plus here. After all, shame and guilt would weigh down the ordinary human. Heckuva Job, Wolfy.

Please Read this from the Manchester Guardian, July 14,04. Written by former Blair cabinet member, the honorable deceased Robin Cook:

"My briefing took place in February at my residence at Carlton Gardens, where I was visited by John Scarlett, chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee. We spoke for almost an hour and - as always - I found him professional, dispassionate and frank in his replies. When I put to him my conclusion that Saddam had no long-range weapons of mass destruction but may have battlefield chemical weapons, he readily agreed.

When I asked him why we believed Saddam would not use these weapons against our troops on the battlefields, he surprised me by claiming that, in order to evade detection by the UN inspectors, Saddam had taken apart the shells and dispersed them -with the result that it would be difficult to deploy them under attack. Not only did Saddam have no weapons of mass destruction in the real meaning of that phrase, neither did he have usable battlefield weapons.

“I'm not sure based on the evidence we know now that we could have been absolutely convinced that there was no danger, absolutely no danger. If somebody could have given you a Lloyd’s of London guarantee that weapons of mass destruction would not possibly be used, one would have contemplated much more support for internal Iraqi opposition and not having the United States take the job on the way we did.

Wolfowitz is just another pathological liar in the NEOCON cabal!

If Wolfowitz said it, it must be true. I believe everything he says.

Weapons of Mass Deception WERE found !!!!!
And the war therefore is justified.
