The President Has Dug Us into a Deep Hole in Iraq; It Is Time for Him to Stop Digging

By Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi

"The ‘Plan for Victory’ backdrop against which the President appeared at the Naval Academy today was no more accurate than the ‘Mission Accomplished’ backdrop he used over two and a half years ago on the USS Abraham Lincoln."
- Rep. Pelosi, 11/30/05

This week, as the President delivered his speech on Iraq against the 'Plan for Victory' backdrop at the Naval Academy, the American people expected better than 35 pages of rhetoric and recycled sound bites. Clearly, the President fails to understand that a new course is needed in Iraq - he did not have a plan for victory when he went into this war of choice, and he did not present a plan for victory this week. With more than 2,100 American soldiers killed, thousands more wounded, and hundreds of billions of dollars spent, the President owes the American people more than he provided in his speech. Congresswoman Pelosi called on the President to follow the lead of Congressman John Murtha, who has put forth a plan to make America safer, to make our military stronger, and to make Iraq more stable.

More on Iraq.

Sure, it's great to see Pelosi making a fuss, but the Dems still just don't get it.

The "Help America Vote Act", Diebold, and Karl Rove are making them permanently marginalized. And the Dems are simply standing around watching it happen.

Everyone please sign the petition urging Senator Boxer to get out in front on Election Fraud. Diebold is currently rolling into California and North Carolina just in time for '06. Unless a prominent politician (NOT Kerry, ahem) speaks out and forces the mainstream media to address this issue, we're all in big, big trouble. Boxer was the only senator to stand up against the seating of the electors in January. I believe she can be swayed. Urge everyone you know who cares about the fate of America to sign this petition:

Thanks!
