Kucinich: UK Elections Inspiration for Democracy | Press Release

Washington D.C. (April 26, 2010) – Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today made the following statement concerning the televised election debates in the United Kingdom:

“Just a few months ago the people of the UK seemed to have little enthusiasm for politics. Suddenly that’s changed.

“The UK has already had two serious and exciting debates that have engaged the public. Brits are now more aware of a real range of options as evidenced by reports of a last minute rush of voters registering.

“I will be watching the third debate with great interest, and take this opportunity to thank the UK for showing us how democracy is about real choice. It excites me that when people are given true alternatives more voters will participate,” said Kucinich.

We need a Green, social party independent of class politicians, corporate fascism, imperial, military fascism, and sell outs like Obama and his spineless "progressive democrats".

We need to smash the two party system, by dismantling its legitimacy, and forcing the issue of social power over corporate, military fascists....backed by Unions, with a social spine, willing to go out on rolling, national strikes, until these corporate, imperial criminals have no political power.....legitimacy from the popular masses, except of course their fascist TEA BAGGERS....

...and DO SOMETHING--START SOMETHING! Frankly your rants are very, VERY tiresome!!!

If the same false strategy on the two corporate parties.....they become tiresome

Sure as hell not me! I'm a Democratic Socialist (Which has NOTHING to do with the Democrat Party.) and I select leaders by what they say, have done, and continue to do in the name of "We the People". Kucinich happens to be at the top of that list!

The man stays in his "party" for his own reasons that I have no right to question. HOWEVER...he does NOT follow the Corporate Democrats way of thinking and acting, or haven't you noticed?

PLEASE don't tell me how he "caved" on Air Force One, O.K.? As it turns out, his was NOT the only vote to turn the tide. The man works his ass off for us regular folks and yet alleged progressives dust him off if he doesn't 100% do what they think he SHOULD do. Hypocritical FOOLS!!!

Try Valium and do more research....

It was a genetic recommendation....not addressed to you. I like Kucinich, but seriously, he has capitulated to the Democratic hierarchy......He should leave the party and become an independent, and join ranks with Sanders.

".He should leave the party and become an independent, and join ranks with Sanders."

HOWEVER, climbing into his shit does NOT help anything! He has his reasons for doing what he's doing by staying in that crappy pseudo-Repug party BUT I believe that if he went Indie, he would NEVER get back into office and be able to work for "We the People". Focus on THAT!

We NEED HIM! I wouldn't give a shit if he was a damn card-carrying Republican if he still stood for the issues he stands for and continually pushed "We the People" agendas. Think about THAT too before you throw him into the garbage bin with the rest of the Democrat TRASH!
(That goes for you too, Mr. Cavlan!)
