That's if what I learned of the church law or regulations that then Cardinal Ratzinger had established is true anyway. It's probably verifiable, I guess, but he purportedly included the rule that victims and families of victims of paedophile priests were threatened with excommunication if they spoke out; if they exposed the sexual acts. That's immoral as well as anti-Christian of then Cardinal Ratzinger to have ruled; totally unacceptable.

The news report omitted this bit of the history; if this bit is true, that is.
