Nancy Pelosi says that "some of us supported a commission to look into things", but then dismisses this with the simple remark, "President Obama wanted to move forward."
So what she is saying is that The U.S. House cannot possibly exercise it's own Constitutional function simply because Obama says so. In effect, this means Obama is a dictator who is the sole determinant of what the U.S. House either can or cannot do.
If Obama wants War Crimes covered-up, Pelosi says fine.
If Obama wants there to be no public option, Pelosi says fine.
Nancy Pelosi needs to be Primaried.
She let Bush behave like a dictator with no consequences, and now she has also let Obama behave like a dictator.
The separation of powers no longer exists. The U.S. House will stand down on the orders of the U.S. President, whether or not it is Bush or Obama.
