PBS' Bill Moyers Journal Airs Dr. Margaret Flowers This Evening - Set The Recorder!
On tonight's "Bill Moyers Journal," Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, the program will feature one of my favorite activist, Dr. Margaret Flowers of Baltimore County, Maryland, and the relevant and important issue of "Medicare for All." Check you local pbs station for the time in your area.
Excerpt from Bill Moyers Journal: While many in Congress, the press and the public have given up on the idea of even a limited public option in health care reform, Flowers and her group, Physicians for a National Health Program, are standing firm for a single-payer plan. Specifically, they want to extend the Medicare program, which they see as a functioning single-player plan, to the nation as a whole. Flowers has testified before Congress and penned Op-Eds and she has been arrested three times in her attempts to get Congress and the White House to pay attention to single-payer. Read more.

Stay warm this winter in a black hooded sweatshirt. Order one. Order them by the dozen and donate them to occupations!

winning.
Why? Too many pacificists, instead of energetic, say, revolutionaries. We get the same picture in terms of the articles by Stephen Lendman and Francis Boyle on the Israel-Palestine conflict or situation, which I'm not really sure about being a conflict, since it's really about U.S.-Israel aggression, without which there'd be peace.
We have people who have lights on, beaming, in their hearts, minds, souls, who can see what reality really is, and what is needed for just corrections, but we're opposed by fascist and corporatist, corporatocratic oligarchs, etcetera, who have [our] military and law enforcement forces at [their] disposal, instead of them abiding by laws and constitutions, and the will of majorities; and this is clearly not going to change just because of angels of real soul speak and write about what's right and really needed, for words are nothing to the fascist, etcetera, elites.
Real and energetic, again say, revolution is required, BUT how can it be done? After all, it's not like it'd be feasibly successful without widespread support, including from military and law enforcement forces of [our] governments, which'd take rather major unity and organising; iow, leadership like never or hardly ever heard of, before. This is awfully unlikely to be feasible, but if it's not done or achieved, then we'll continue to have angels with their headlights on speaking out while angels of darkness continue with their fascism, corporatism, pillaging, genocides, omnicides, what-have-you.
Universal health care should be a right as much as it's a right to be a citizen of western and perhaps all countries just because we're born there. But that's not profitable to the corporatocracy.
The capitalist corporatocracy needs to be defeated. It's of the dark, evil sphere in Lord of the Rings and presently holds one, if not two, of the three magical (whatever) rings; and is working to try to have all three rings in its or their possession. They can never master holding all three rings, but they want them all, delusionally thinking that they're masters of this world, here; and, who knows, maybe the world or worlds beyond, here.
Delusional, nut-case people in positions of power are nothing less than very dangerous. They need to be stopped.
How? It's not with words of angels with headlights on who will be able to stop the capitalist corporatocracy, of which the leaders evidently don't even care about the own families, children, grandchildren, etcetera. The ruthlessly, wreckfully, ... rule, and some of them delusionally think that their sons and daughters, grandchildren, etcetera, will inherit greatness, power, but over what? Being king of the gehanna is not much to talk or brag about, it's not really newsworthy.
Being king who is KIND, generous, ..., now this will make any king, or queen (I'm not sexist), LONG remembered with fondness, care, love. But it takes angels with headlights on to see this.
Well, we also need energetic revolution and it's nowhere in sight. Without out, all we'll do is continuously write and speak out about all of the wicked injustices that clearly are committed in very witting ways or terms. After all, they're clearly not accidental injustices.
I appreciate thw work of the angels of real light, but their work or contributions evidently aren't enough.
We need voters to wake up and stop electing and re-electing corrupt and incompetent political representatives. It's the sole revolutionary way that I think could succeed in the USA, for armed revolution surely would not; I think it would or could not, anyway. And getting enough voters to wake up from their political and other, but nevertheless related biases, how feasible is this? I don't want to be a doom-sayer, but I don't think there's enough likelihood. Too many voters are biased and brainwashed; or so the past seems to indicate, anyway.
And that's surely where and how the revolutionary energy should begin to be applied, for it's voters who elect the political goons who are to supposedly represent us, democracy and justice. There are fraudulent elections, but surely not all elections are determined or concluded in fraudulent ways; I think.
We need more than writing and speaking, but I do appreciate the physicians organisation and people, Stephen Lendman, Francis Boyle, and many others for their contributions to trying to better our world, defend rights and justice, etcetera.
