First of all, "The Government" and the Leadership of this country, listens to NO ONE, outside of the Corporate World. They appear to know all there is to every issue that faces the People of this country.
History is somewhat meaningless to "The Government" The same as things like Honesty, Fairness, Empathy, the Ability to Hear, the ability to Listen, did I mention Honesty, or the ability to Listen and Hear what is being said.
There are millions of people who no longer beleives in "The Government's" Ability to do anything but spend the taxpayers tax money for "The Government's Personal Agendas.
A "Government" that is for "The Government's" usage, created by "The Government officials", who are under the financial control of Corporate America.
In order to read, listen and learn from history, you must first have some concern about the issue. You must learn to actually "Listen" to what history has taught. A person's attitude must be focused on history's tried and proved methods.
My personal opinion is simply this, since special interest has financial control over "The Government" at all levels, Mr Lincoln's words will be ignored.

IMPEACH HIM!!

With the recent ruling he's shown he isn't the Chief Justice, nor Supreme Court Judge, for the People and the Constution, he's a corporate shill doing what he feels they want done, or is told to, to further their reach into control of the United States!

With this ruling and in light of what has been going on with the Banks and Wall Streets involvement in the economic collapse, he's living in the same times as we are, he still allowed this ruling to carry forward with his total blessing!

My America Doesn't Torture!

Are corporations really just groups of citizens and therefor worthy of free speech rights, as the supreme court has decided?

WHO CARES!

Here is an analogy: The game is football and the long-bomb forward pass. There is a very logical way to defend against any forward pass. Simply tackle the receiver before he catches the ball! Why not? There is a rule against it because without that rule the game will not work! It’s cheating. Giving corporations the right to use their huge financial resources to express their opinions is giving each of them a 1000 Watt bull-horn and all the rest of us a muzzle! It does not matter if they SHOULD have free speech rights or not. There must be a rule against it because it’s cheating! This is why I believe there must be a constitutional amendment that puts a halt to corporations using their money to promote their agenda of self-centered greed.

Al K.
