Brian Becker: “U.S. Can’t Win in Afghanistan!”

On Tuesday evening, Dec. 1, 2009, a spirited antiwar rally was held in front of the the White House, led by activists from the ANSWER Coalition, Code Pink, and other Peace and Justice groups. Its purpose was to object to President Barack Obama’s reckless decision, (shades of LBJ’s disastrous Vietnam fiasco), to “expand the war in Afghanistan.” I talked with Brian Becker, National Coordinator of the ANSWER Coalition, who shared his views with me about this situation and the plans for future antiwar events.
