Live Coverage of Gates, Clinton and Mullen at House Foreign Affairs Committee

Will Begin at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 2 in Nationwide Broadcast

For several hours on Wednesday (Dec. 2), Pacifica Radio will provide live national coverage of the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Afghanistan policy with testimony from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and the Joint Chiefs of Staff chair, Michael Mullen. There are a number of anti-war Democrats on the committee and we expect it to be lively.

The coverage begins at 1 p.m. Eastern Time (10 a.m. for KPFK listeners in Los Angeles and KPFA listeners in Northern California). The hearing is expected to begin about a half-hour later. The show will be hosted by Mitch Jeserich of "Letters to Washington" and Norman Solomon, media critic and author of the book "War Made Easy."

Those who aren’t within range of a signal from a Pacifica station can listen to the broadcast online, streaming live at www.kpfa.org (just click on the "Listen Live" button near the headphones icon).
