Phase II Report Being Stonewalled, Senators Charge
Faiz, Think Progress.Org

Yesterday was the deadline for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence to report its progress on Phase II of the investigation into the administration’s use of pre-war intelligence. The prognosis is not good, according to Senators Rockefeller, Levin and Feinstein. They have released a letter, and here is its main finding:

At this time, we are unable to provide an estimated completion date of the Phase II investigation given the substantial amount of work that remains to be done.

This assessment differs greatly from the one offered by Sen. Pat Roberts on November 1st: “It isn’t like it’s been delayed. As a matter of fact, it’s been ongoing. As a matter of fact, we have been doing our work on Phase 2.

Party affiliation is not relevant when the integrity of our great democracy is at such a risk as it is right now.

Now is the time for all members of Congress who claim to stand for America to prove it by fully supporting the quest for truth.

If Democrats have to shut down the Hill every damn day until they get the answers that the American people are overwhelmingly demanding, then so be it.

Don't give me any partisan crap about being slapped in the face with political posturing. The American people have been slapped in the face on a daily basis by this fraudulent administration for five years.

If Congress refuses to fully exercise its responsibility of oversight of the executive branch, our democracy has failed.

It really is that simple.

What's it gonna be folks?

John Perry

Hey, folks! Just an unpleasant 'reality check' here, you didn't REALLY EXPECT THE REPUBLICAN'S to actually do the right thing and do their duty, uphold the Constitution of the United States (of which they swore an oath, by the way) and actually publish anything that is going to indict their Fuhrer in Chief, did you? And look at yesterday's RATS JUMPING SHIP move by Frist, would you? If D.C. Comics 'Bizarro World' were still at the news-stands, you'd see this issue of REPUBLICANS ACTUALLY TRYINIG TO LOOK LIKE THEY GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE QUAGMIRE THEY LET THEIR FUHRER IN CHIEF GET THE COUNTRY INTO.

It's going to literally take tens of millions of us IN THE STREETS marching and demanding an end to this regime. Our illegitimate and wholly co-opted government is so bought and paid for, nobody in their right mind would expect any of the incumbent slime bags who occupy the Congress and the Senate, from either side of the aisle, to actually do what is right and introduce ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT for this PUTSCH has gotten way out of control and ruined far too much of this country for it to ever get on track again without drastic measures, such as showing up by the TENS OF MILLIONS in EVERY TOWN and EVERY CITY and at the not so very White House, and on Capitulated Hill (yes, the spelling is correct) and breach security, rush the bums, and bodily take them out of the offices of which they have besmirched and contaminated with their corrupt, self-serving carcasses.
