Author David Swanson Visits UMaine

Peace activisit and author, David Swanson visited the University of Maine in Orono Thursday.

He blames the Bush adminstration for expanding the powers of the presidency and deteriorating the constitution and bill of rights.

He is also critical of the Obama administration for continuing to take advantage of some of the increased presidential powers that he says president bush created.

David Swanson says "If presidents have the power to re-write laws to make new laws to imprison people without charge to spy on people without warrant to launch wars without a declaration from congress and so on and so forth that will make a difference and it is making a difference right now."
