OVER thirty five very serious Articles of Impeachment were pending in Chairman Jerrold Nadler's Sub Committee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties, during the entire 110th Democratic Congress, against Bush LINK and Cheney LINK but Nadler refused to hold even a single impeachment hearing to weigh the evidence and take a vote. He could have saved American and Iraqi lives if Bush and Cheney could have been impeached on his watch but Nadler maintained his silence, no doubt fearful of Pelosi/Conyers who took impeachment off the table, and he failed to act when impeachment could have made a difference. Now Nadler is on the talk circuit pushing Attorney General Eric Holder to take appropriate action by investigating and prosecuting those who violated the nation's laws on torture, but those who have usurped the Constitution get a free pass with Nadler sitting in his Chairman's Seat in the House Judiciary Committee. No restitution of the rule of law and no restoration of the Constitution on his watch when it comes to the high crimes, misdemeanors, and misdeeds of Bush/Cheney. But whenever required, every two years, he will raise his right hand and pledge to defend and protect the Constitution from all domestic and foreign enemies, just do not ever ask him to live up to any of it.
