Do You Support President Obama's Three Bedrock Principles For Health Care Reform? Act Now!

Declare Your Support - "Make Congress and the President Do It!"

President Obama has announced three bedrock requirements for real health care reform:

  1. Reduce Costs — Rising health care costs are crushing the budgets of governments, businesses, individuals and families and they must be brought under control.
  2. Guarantee Choice — Every American must have the freedom to choose their plan and doctor – including the choice of a public insurance option - but has the single payer option benefits and costs been fully explored?
  3. Ensure Quality Care for All — All Americans must have quality and affordable health care.

Now we have to show Congress where the American people stand.

Don't support the current proposals? Tell Obama why not - tell him what you prefer here.

Pssst...Please pass it on! Thanks!

I cannot support anything they do. They have done everything in their immense power to stop the only viable solution. Settling for less without a huge fight is meaningless.

and politicians who are excepting financial contributions from those industries.
The people of America have said loud and clear, at about a 70+ precentage rate, the type of healthcare system, patterned after the most sucessful program in our country's history. But, that avenue remains off the table of consideration, by OUR elected officials who have been the beneficery of Corporate America's financial support to those politicians.
Even though the need for change is in dire need. "We the People" will be offered only what those elected officials are willing to offer. You can bet that that decision will benefit themselves and Corporate America first.
Anyone who beleives otherwise should get their facts together, and see just how low on the priority chain we actually exist at. That is if we actually do exist somewhere.
Both my Senators are busy whining, pointing fingers, blaming others, etc. My Representative tends to say one thing, and do another. He simply does what he is told to do by those in Washington. I think the term I've heard quite often fits his record also perfectly, He's a Fraud.

I am not signing because doing so would seem to be in support of Obama's/Congress plan which may be intended to enrich the health care industry beyond their wildest dreams.

At least that is how I feel after reading Stephen Lendman's Obamacare: A Health Care Rationing Scheme to Enrich Insurers, Drug Companies and Large Hospital Chains

And after watching the Bill Moyer's interview of ex-CIGNA executive Wendell Potter. Transcript..

After all Obama and Congress have just made the already rich financial firms and individuals richer than before. It is the typical Bush-like thing to do.

And do we really believe that Single-payor by states will be permitted by Congress (i.e., by their owners, the health care industry)? If it does, then perhaps the plan could be supported in the hope that eventually a better plan would evolve in the distant future.

I do not support Obama's approach to HCR. Only single-payer will do what he claims to want to do.

His emphasis is on reducing costs? Single-payer will automatically do that. For-profit insurance will be dead, something that is anathema to our smart president. His plan increases costs, with no guarantees of savings.

He wants high quality health care? Single-payer will stop CYA diagnoses and treatment by docs afraid of lawsuits.

Health care for all? WTF? Even his "plan" leaves millions uninsured. Single-payer covers everyone from day one.

I'd like to see this Obama promotion video taken down. (I've NEVER even thought of such a request before)

I put up the video because it outlines 3 objectives of health care reform, and if the bills they cobble together don't accomplish them - which anything but a single-payer system will fail to do - then we will remain in this economic devolution.

My opinion is that it is important for people to know what the objectives are, and what Obama says the objectives are. I didn't put it up to promote Obama, but rather the objectives of a health care reform proposal.

Have you considered explaining to Obama why the other proposals won't work? You can tell him here.

The objectives make perfect sense. But what makes no sense is Obama's approach to achieving them. HE CHEERED FOR SINGLE PAYER as a state senator in 2003, but now he's completely ignoring it. His excuse that it's not feasible because we're not starting from scratch is beyond lame.

It's clear he's just trying to make people THINK he's the reformer, while his true mission is to further enable the insurance profit pigs at the expense of the people he's supposed to be serving.

We need to be exposing the hypocrisy every chance we get, which your post here does quite well.

DonP plan for "Health Care Reform" would more accurately by entitled "The Insurance Company Enrichment Act" or "How to Screw the Public One More Time".

I agree DonP. I'd add " How to Screw the Public One More Time". And "Make Them Pay for IT, One More Time".
