So, What's the Story?

The lone vet was out and about on the bridges. Wednesday, July 15, 2009. I was on the Hawthorne Bridge from 0730-0900 with my orange sign that said:

WYDEN
UNIVERSAL
HEALTHCARE
Now!

It was fun to be on the bridge, it was a gorgeous morning and I had forgotten how invigorating it is to be out alone so early. One of my first impressions was the speed of the cycles going across was amazing, the friendliness of the people was inspiring and I had a ball. I was also proud of myself for standing and speaking to something that is so important to all of us this day. I will continue on Wednesdays to push for Single Payer on the bridge during rush hour. One of my next signs will say something like:

I have Single Payer
Medicare
You?????

People must stop voting for people like wyden, we can do better. Real Democrats must stand up and challenge these sellouts. It is up to all of us to change the system, obama, main shit media, wyden, blumenauer will not do it. Change will come when many more are fed up enough to get off their asses and in the streets. The national organizations must call for the visit/occupation of all congressional offices on the same day. We cannot do this on our own, we need new leaders who love the constitution and will represent their constituents and not think they are smarter than we are. I ran---your turn.

See you in the streets, the vigil/protest at the 9th Circuit Court to demand Judge bybee resign or be impeached continues each Thursday at high noon. Stop and say hello to Veterans for Peace and other members of groups who send a representative to stand and watch.

I will also start a night protest at media outlets, theaters, movie houses, and malls in the near future. I want people to think about what is happening to our country, even if it is only for a minute or so, the seed is planted.
