Good observations - I'll join the mass protest, where is it?
Also: the death of 1000 cuts includes the lack of consensus by all the protesters over just exactly what change we want to install. People are all over the map. An awful lot of them want to dismantle capitalism and install a system of committees, I guess, or a strongman like Lyndon Larouche, Bob Avakian, or Ron Paul or Nader or who? Some of the protesters want systemic changes but all of us don't even know each others' plan! Most protesters have no plan--Let it fall back to the market system, I guess. That would be the Ron Paul people. Some of the protesters have an excess of method, and some of them have a lack of method.
I'll give you a tip: you're never going to have fervor of the base, until you have a shared vision of where we want to go, that's less bad than where we are now. It's as simple as that.
