"March of the Dead" Demonstration on Capitol Hill

By davidswanson - Posted on 06 January 2009

William Hughes: On Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, Antiwar activists dressed all in black, with white death masks, paraded in a steady rain and in single file, past the U.S. Supreme Court, and around the U.S. Capitol, in Washington, D.C., as the new 111th Congress convened inside. The “March of the Dead” participants wore around their necks the names of those killed in conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and Israeli Occupied Gaza. The U.S. Congress has repeatedly voted hundreds of billions of dollars to support those two wars. Check out: http://www.nationalpriorities.org/costofwar_home. In addition, Congress continues to subsidize, to the tune of billions of taxpayers’ dollar a year, the state of Zionist Israel. See, http://www.wrmea.com. I was with you in spirit. We will not give Obama and the new congress a pass if they take up where the frat boy criminal ended.

REAL "CHANGE"? http://www.dsausa.org/about/index.html

Good job Laurie and David, POWER TO THE PEOPLE, RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION, END THE FED. Chris Dorsey, RVA4Peace

for coming

This brought tears to my eyes. I only wish I could have been there. Great work ladies and gents. Thanks for the report David. When will this madness stop?

The elected leaders of this once great country do not represent me! Most, are just rat bastards. The death of innocent children, I'm appalled.

A familiar quote comes to mind: "No taxation without representation" Wake up and smell whats cooking America.

Great CD actions - simple and powerful. Hope the tactic spreads nationally and internationally. Peace. NW
