Bailout Pace Now About $1 Trillion Per Day
We're now at about $8.4 trillion. Of that amount, Congress approved $0.7 trillion and required minimal oversight which it did not get. Meanwhile everybody's chattering about the car makers' request for $0.025 trillion. Who the hell cares about that at this point? What we should be doing is researching what the next word is after a million and a billion and a trillion ... What comes next? And what's the one after that? Then we could start calculating the interest so we properly inform our grandchildren in our suicide notes.
UPDATE: We're not guaranteed to be at $9 trillion tomorrow, but we were at $7 trillion yesterday and $4 trillion a few days before that. Get it?

I'll tell you what's next David ... we secede ... because we've been forced to ... not because it's fun ... a person at a time if that's what it takes!! They can shove that 27 trillion dollar bill(what I predicted back in 2002 our national debt would be up to when Bush leaves office) up their asses ... I never agreed to pay that ... did you? Did anybody?? Congress had better start pulling out their checkbooks because as far as I'm concerned they are the only ones so far who agreed to any of it ... What's 19.4 trillion(much of it "lost") and counting fast with 30% compound interest divided by 534?? They might have actually have to get a FULL time job!!
You haven't heard the last of Ralph Nader! He will be using the organization he built to get on the ballot to develop citizen groups in each congressional district to hold the rep's feet to the fire. WE must force change. Obama isn't going to do it!

Hi,
as an Englishman, I have to say that if the USA were using UK billions and trillions, instead of tiny USA ones, then you wouldn't need to be thinking of bigger numbers. This is one instance where the UK IS MUCH BIGGER than the USA ! (+:
UK billion is 1 million times 1 million
= 1 000 000 000 000
where USA billion is only 1000 times 1 Million
= 1 000 000 000
and UK trillion which is 1 million times a UK billion
= 1 000 000 000 000 000 000
where USA trillion is only 1000 times USA billion
= 1 000 000 000 000
