As the nation prepares for the inauguration of President Barack Obama, please join the Progressive Democrats of America national team for our Annual Grassroots Leadership Conference at the University of the District of Columbia, January 17 and 18, 2009.
Saturday, January 17
10:00 a.m.: REGISTRATION - ADVANCE REGISTRATION HERE
11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: WORKSHOP
Led by PDA Operations Coordinator Kimberly Buchan on financial organization: learn about federal PACs, state PACs, and other options.
1:30 - 3:30 p.m.: WORKSHOP
We'll talk tech--website review, websites for chapters, state action alerts, followed by Q & A.
3:30 - 4:00 p.m.: PRE-CELEBRATION RECEPTION for New PDAers
4:00 - 7:00 p.m.: INAUGURATION CELEBRATION

PDA 2009 STRATEGY DAY
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.: Informal round table discussions on our inside strategy, our outside strategy, Healthcare NOT Warfare campaign, PDA Congressional District Point Person project, and general Q & A. Lunch included.
Conference: $75.00
Inauguration Celebration: $45.00 per person.

$159.00 per night per room. There is a 72-hour cancellation policy.
You must reserve your room by December 19, 2008. To make a reservation:

Space is limited due to the inauguration. We have reserved 20 Double and 10 King rooms. If you are traveling with one other, you should request one of the king rooms to share with your traveling partner. Maximum occupancy is 4 per room--we encourage groups of 3 or 4 to make your reservations together; we especially encourage you to share the space! The rooms are blocked off for Friday, January 16 through Monday, January 19. YOU MUST CHECK OUT BY MONDAY, JANUARY 19 at the given checkout time. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you plan on staying through the inauguration, we recommend you look for accommodations in Baltimore for Monday night. Hostel style accommodations in Washington DC can be reserved here: http://www.ecacollective.org/inauguration.html We are maintaining a list for conference attendees seeking lodging with PDA members in the DC area, but these spaces are very limited.
