Bombing wedding parties and people in their homes, killing people by the dozens is not nearly as bad as throwing acid on school girls. Don't get me wrong. I am 100% opposed to throwing acid on anyone. But it appears that Rachel has fallen into the propaganda trap laid by those intent on an agenda of their own.
I also find it amazing that there is a school in Afghanistan large enough for 1500 (did I hear that right?) girls. That is a pretty big school for a culture that opposes allowing girls to go to school.
Don't get me wrong again. I favor educating everyone -- even Americans. We might want to exercise a degree of skepticism when we hear stories about the evil Muslims. Cui bono?

Of course, you're correct that we should be skeptical. Here's a report and video from alJazeera. More with pics and videos from Reuters. It's widely reported.
