Anyone and everyone is free to post comments of any opinion on any topic on this website, beneath articles or in forums. We delete comments that advocate violence or sell crap. We do not delete any other comments. None of this is new. I'm just repeating it because of the rising level of paranoia.
I make money by speaking and writing, and also by organizing for Democrats.com, and this site's hosting is paid for by VelvetRevolution.us.

last night I posted in a thread, and several of my comments were removed, as well as those by JD, Chip, and RainM.
I did not save her comments or JDs, but I did save Chips and mine. They are formated in this sites format and will be reposted now.
They have been removed from that thread for some reason, they clearly do not advocate violence.

David will tell you - or not - what he thinks.
The fact that you make repeated attempts to goad him into stating a position about 911 doesn't mean that he must, or should. You don't dictate to him; he decides.
Please realize that websites cost money to run (perhaps you should consider running and funding your own website devoted to 911 issues?).
Although newspapers publish "Letters to the Editors," not every letter written is published, and that fact corresponds to the paper's editorial policy. Likewise, website owners are free to determine what topics they cover, their publication standards, etc.
ADS' defined mission is to cover impeachment, peace and justice issues. ADS retains the right to determine what that means. ADS provided you with a forum for you and others to advertise and discuss your 911 concerns, without any obligation to do so.
ADS is under no obligation to offer you a venue to express your opinion on any issue, including 911.
Stop the personal attacks, to try to provoke a response from ADS. Respect that you have been afforded, to date, a forum for discussion of your 911 concerns. As you advertised in this post, there are other websites discussing 911 issues. Use them.

The other week, I posted a comment that suggested the exact same thing you just stated. I suggested that David is certainly within his rights to say what he wants when he wants on this site and that the concerns here he face probably have more to do with funding than they do his own reluctance to address this topic.
I pointed out that I have never seen a fundraiser for this site, and that means it is probably funded by someone who would rather not see this topic hashed out here too much.
That comment was removed.
Once before, David rightly told someone here that he does not remove comments unless they deal with threats of violence or they are of a racist nature. That was his statement.
But he removed my comment that simply mentioned the funding of ADS.
Strange isn't it? That you can say the exact same thing here and now and your comment remains.
But since you brought it up again, lets delve a bit shall we? Hell even a gatekeeper site like ThinkProgress links to their patron 501(3)(c) (Center for Progress, John Podesto (of Obama transition team fame)).
It might be informative to know just who that would be that you are suggesting doesn't want 9/11 Truth discussed here by admins. I mean, since you brought it up, do tell Chip; to who do we owe thanks for all of these past efforts to impeach? It has been a valuable service to the peace and accountability community. I'm just dying to know.
(edit: just so you know, you may have noticed I don't come by that much anymore (in fact, not at all really) I popped in today because of someone pointed it out. That's because I don't feel like someone should be removing comments simply because they don't want an issue mentioned, like say "funding" perhaps. I understand about the violent and offensive comments, that makes sense; but if that is your policy, that is what you should stick with. Even if someone brings up something... uncomfortable, shall we say. Tell me it's none of my business or whatever... but to remove the comment in order to erase the entire topic, well, that's a bit much. An element of trust is involved after a year or so i guess. Once that is gone, what do you have?)
Rain, Chip, JD, and Scott H. all read and commented on this thread. They all know that what is being said here by Mr. Swanson is not true.
Chip has told me that she deleted comments, against our site's policy. I have asked her to assure me that she will not do so again. I would ask you to relax a bit, consider focusing on 9-11 theories on 9-11 theory sites, and Email me when you have a question.

Which is not always a bad thing, but when you fantasize about the evil forces funding me or the dark powers that allow me to quickly comment on your site it just makes you look goofy rather than persuading anyone of a particular 9-11 theory or whatever. If you want to ask me who funds me or why I don't believe in God or how come I voted for a guy who's willing to keep Gates in the Pentagon or where I get my haircut, just Email me. Then if you don't believe me you can call me a liar and fantasize about the secret plots behind my lies, but at least ask me first.

I asked who funds this site. There is a difference.
If you don't understand how funding corrupts the spreading of information by limiting certain topics, then you don't know much about the current Media Reform movement. And quite frankly, you don't know much about how our political system works.
But knowing that you are smarter than that, I think you understand why someone would ask a legitimate question like I did.
Especially after one of your admins here suggested that the people that fund this site are perfectly justified in limiting certain topics.
You see, that is what the whole media reform thing is all about. Freeing up information from those that have some reason to constrain it.

I stand by all I wrote to you. When posters go on ad nauseum on topics outside ADS's mission of impeachment, peace and justice, they are abusing the site for their own purpose. No matter how righteous they feel a topic is, they are taking advantage of the site.
A lot is made of how funding corrupts information. That train left the station long ago. Like it or not, we live in a world of biases and perceptions. It has do to with the human condition; we are imperfect beings.
And, finding "the truth" is more difficult than ever, given media consolidation and the speed of information.
But, alternative media doesn't mean anything goes, it can't mean that, because then a website's content becomes unfocused and choatic. To prevent that, it's quite legitimate for a website to determine its policy and what subjects it will and will not cover, which you call being "perfectly justified in limiting certain topics." There is a difference between free speech and abusing a website's policy. As I suggested above, cover 911 on your own site, where you set the policies.
The vast majority of posters here at ADS act responsibly and present their viewpoints in a responsible manner, focusing on the subject rather than abusing others.
That often was not the case with the 911 thread, which digressed into multiple efforts to goad me into posting 911 articles.
When posters come onto the site and are threatening, abusive or disruptive, they demonstrate that they value their own agenda, their own "truth" more than the site's mission and community.

Now I don't force 9/11 issues here. I don't agree with David's opinion (and neither do you for that matter, from what I have read of yours) but I don't hound him about it.
But there is a school of thought that suggests that evil can only be successful because of the silence of good men (or women). (paraphrased)
So I understand Scott and JD striving to make headway. And you should understand that all they are really doing is trying to light a fire under, not only other readers, but David as well to do his own research.
Now, whatever you think of that is your business. But let's not pretend something else happened here last night. You swept an entire thread of comments and many of them didn't even deal with 9/11 truth. And the vast majority of them were by no means "threatening, abusive or disruptive".
Now you may have come to some new understanding of the guidelines here, but according to the email "cced" to me, David hasn't as of yet.

For my part in thread, I pointed out that ADS has been around for 3 1/2 years, not the 5 JD thought he had been coming here, and how I don't know what I would have done without this site. After that a post by Willy also showing gratefulness for ADS.
Chip, We ALL make mistakes, and am very grateful for a bunch of your submissions I can't find elsewhere. Glad this all got sorted out so quickly. Let's move on to create the change we want to see.
You know I am grateful for the work done here. And like I said in my article, lotta fond memories lingering around this place. It's funny isn't it? How a series of 1s and 0s can grow on us. I miss this place.

I stopped posting after my comments were censored and I dropped out of the "coalition" as a result. Common Dreams did the same. They banned my TCP/IP address but don't know that the address is not static. Isn't it amazing how "progressives" only allow the voices of other progressives that pass through their filters? It is, however, in keeping with their support for the Democratic Party which is the real reason for the existence of their "front" websites.
This website is awesome! It has opened my mind up time and time again. It sure looks more professional and therefore more credible than some of the other sites I visit. Reading through the comments above, specifically those made by Mr. Swanson, I can see this is indeed a professionally run site. Those other sites tend to discredit themselves by the nature of how they present information, even though they often times do have very good information. I wish they would not do that. Sometimes they stretch things a bit, but on the subject of 9/11 absolutely not!
I know that 9/11 is a touchy issue, especially here where Mr. Swanson is trying to be tolerant, yet may be on the verge of drawing a line in this electronic land of sand.
There a two subjects that are intertwined, like it or not. They can not be separated. One is the war agenda started during the Bush Administration. The other is the justification of that agenda. Mr. Swanson has done a very good job at exposing proof of a very big false justification, that which is proven in the memos he decided to name this website after. There is another, even bigger justification for our pre-emptive war policy and that is 9/11.
I'm not going to delve into all of the detailed arguments that prove the official story of that day to be folly. It is sufficient to say the information is there. It exists on the sites that Mr. Swanson alludes to above. There are a few proofs that scream at any rational person who has an open mind that we were lied to on that day. I hope that everyone will eventually wake up and see that, including those here that don't want to think that way.
People that come to this site, write stories, blog or run this site are the people that will eventually bring true change to our country and the world. I have a sparkle of hope that people will wake up, even in the midst of all my cynicism. Understanding the events of 9/11 and why the official story is a fable is paramount to winning the fight this website has set out to win. This is true whether they accept it, for now, or not.

To be breif,,,,,,there is a lot of fishyness about the official 9-11 storyline. A lot of evidence connected to that event has been suppressed. Some of us are fighting to get that evidence UN-suppressed. It's our lot in life now. Everything changed after 9-11, so they say.
ADS.ORG does in fact possess a high degree of intellectual contribution. Swanson sits in the capt's seat of this great ship. He has our respect, our admiration, and our loyality.

As one who was just banned from a website for some things I wrote (no cussin', just criticizing writers who talk about the scourge of corporatism and then gleefully endorsed Obama), I now view burning up time posting commentary as pretty much a luxury.
While I'll check in here from time to time, my entire focus now is to monitor my Congressional representative's performance, attend any public meetings she holds, and work to build a coalition of local groups that will hold her feet to the fire and make her more "respectful" of us than she is of her beneficiary corporations.

With all the mis info and lack of transparency at every turn if you do not have rising paranoia then you have tuned out. It seems that some people may see the connections between mis info about sept 11 and mis info on every other issue that comes from the criminal US government. I believe many such as willy are simply trying to find answers to questions that the ruling class for whatever reason avoids. I have to say I have been visiting this site for a couple of years now, and with a few exceptions have been it to be very fair accurate. I have posted a couple of comments defending Senator Biden as I am a friend and supporter of his. On occasion I have found my comments missing, being that I work in the IT business I am very familiar how most web pages work and honestly believe they were not registered in the data file or it was a matter of personal error. I hope this make sense.
Keep up the good work, and I don't care who your god is or who funds you as long as you tell the truth.
