Yes!!!! I saw that front page on a break at work that morning and went wild, laughing and shouting "yes! thank you! thank you!" and then I ran to show my co-workers.
I think that's the first time the Akron Beacon Journal has inspired me to thank a higher power.

From Rod Hower of Akron:
Has the Beacon written anything about this? Seems like it should be on the front page... The Downing Street memo shows, without a shadow of a doubt, that the American and British governments had decided to invade Iraq in early 2002 -- while lying to the public about their true intentions. Despite the flap in Britain, however, we've barely heard a squeak about this smoking gun on this side of the Atlantic.
My response: Rod, perhaps you could ask the dozens of people from around the country to stop sending me e-mails about the Downing Street memo. The Beacon Journal (and the rest of the traditional media) has been blasted for covering up the Downing Street memo. Except, the people who are writing me really haven't checked to see exactly how the Beacon Journal handled it. All I'm getting is a blanket condemnation, being sent out at the urging of liberal groups and bloggers. On May 6, this newspaper carried a prominent front-page article about the Downing Street memo.
