Once More to the Phones

This is it.

Today the Senate will be debating FISA and retroactive immunity.

By tomorrow, it's likely that voting will be done.

And what we do together over the next 24 hours will determine what the legislation looks like.

I've offered an amendment to strip retroactive immunity from the FISA legislation.

On Monday you joined thousands of Americans online by calling your Senators (with the help of our friends at FireDogLake) and asking them to vote "NO" on any bill containing retroactive immunity.

There's still time for more calls to be made.

I promise you that your voices are being heard in the halls of the Senate.

I promise you that I will continue to fight alongside you until the last vote is counted.

Help me now to ensure that my next email to you will be a celebration of our commitment to the rule of law.

Thanks once again,

Chris Dodd

Tomorrow the Senate will vote on unbelievably historic legislation that immunizes an entire class of corporation from redress by The People. Dubbed the FISA legislation, it is Democrat John D Rockefeller the Fourth's paean to his corporate roots. His partner in protecting telcos from the courts Kit Bond is tired of "liberal activists" trying to expose "these patriotic corporations" to "unwarranted" exposure to the courts. These corporations were "acting in good faith" with the government, after all.

FACT: These corporations, guided by their own attorneys, conpired with the Bush administration, with the knowledge of Nancy Pelosi no doubt, to B-R-E-A-K T-H-E F-I-S-A L-A-W !!!

What other corporations will be next - to receive the Blessings of the Congress that won't protect the People's Rights, but will radically move without shame to create NEW RIGHTS for corporations?

Watch the debate in the Senate now on C-Span 2. Senator Dodd is starting to speak

Most times I go for an important debate I get masn? A sports channel that has some channel sharing agreement with comcast. Anyone else have a problem like that? Two teams I've never heard of are playing baseball. Go CFM!
