Nueces County, TX : Election theft starting at the local level

While speaking at the recent Nueces County Republican convention, Chairman Mike Bertuzzi began naming people as delegates who had not qualified at the local precinct level, and relegating people who HAD qualified at the local level to alternate delegate status. An unquestionable violation of the rules, and clear evidence of nefarious manipulation of the electoral process.

One person after another stood to call a point of order (until it seemed like at least half the room was doing it), in an effort to get clarification and correct the problem. Bertuzzi COMPLETELY IGNORED ALL OF THEM, as if they weren't even there.

At least one local paper described these people, who actually WERE acting fully within the rules, as a group that was trying to "take over the convention."

LISTEN TO STUNNING AUDIO OF THE PROCEEDINGS HERE.

Be sure to scroll through to read the comments of people who were actually there when this travesty was going on.

Email Mr. Bertuzzi here:

And perhaps contacting Governor Rick Perry (no relation to me) would be a good idea too, to ask him what the hell is happening in his state.

This is an issue that transcends party politics (which is why I posted it here). This is about following established rules, to ensure that the true political will of the people, regardless of what it may be, is reflected in election results.

PLEASE PASS IT ON.
