Disturbing video clip:
They speak our language and they wear the uniform of the USA but they certainly DON'T represent me or my family or our ideals as an American citizen. These ignorant bastards should be prosecuted (court-martialed) without fail for their insensitive and ignorant behavior; and we have the video evidence to make this a very simple process. It's fools (soldiers or otherwise) such as this that serve to bring our country even further down. Just as happened at Abu Ghraib Prison. Yes, it's true that one American citizen overseas stands as representative of our entire nation (how the world views us) -- but this is NOT how we are, just as AL CAPONE and/or JEFFREY DALMER were NOT representative of our entire nation. There are bound to be jerks among all nations and jerks should be treated accordingly. Prosecute these low-brained idiots! That's a must. I'm embarrassed and angry over their unbecoming conduct -- they're certainly not soldiers in my book.
--my thoughts (from a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant)
I have seen this in other documentary tapes on the History Channel, HBO, etc. and we'll never know how deep this sort of stuff goes AND SURE AS !!HELL!! the friggin incongruous congress and mainstream media aren't going to even try to find out and expose it.
I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for news about the troops coming home either....not until we get a president and an entire new congress I won't!
Wait until January 1, 2010 when the troops are still there and listen to the liberal suckers (that believed hillary or obama which ever is president) scream.
The political party I belong to is the entire body politic of the United States of America and our Constitution that I support without bias which neither states or implies any allegiance with any other socalled organized political party.
.... for your comments, and I am sure that video was sickening for you to watch especially because of your service history. We have been hearing, though, for the longest time, about the number of unfit people who are now in the armed forces because they keep loosening up the previously stringent requirements about education, criminal records, etc. etc. Then, too, there are the awful stress factors due to repeat tours, longer tours, shorter dwell times and on and on and on. The President goes on television claiming that the morale of the troops is good at the same time we hear that suicide rates are at an all-time high! There are so many "crazy factors" going on here at once. If this administration set out to destroy all of our armed forces (instead of simply punishing terrorists), he could hardly have done a better job than he has done. The particular fellows in that tape are reprehensible, of course, but any defense attorney could also list multiple mitigating factors. I am sure no man under your supervision would dream of behaving like that, but, in any organization, those at the bottom take their behavior cues from those on top. And those "on top" of this extended gig in Iraq are, as we now know, self-confessed War Criminals. How can any enlisted man be expected to behave in a more honorable fashion than his own Commander-in-Chief?
