Want an Obama Landslide?

In case anyone doubted it, ABC News is now reporting that Dick Cheney authorized torture.

An impeachment hearing charging Cheney with authorizing torture would force John McCain to deal publicly and endlessly with his history of first trying to re-criminalize torture and then accepting Bush and Cheney's public and dictatorial authorization of torture with a signing statement and later applauding a veto of yet another re-banning of torture.

Do the Democrats who place making Obama the next emperor ahead of all other concerns want to aim for a narrow squeaker subject to theft, or would a landslide be acceptable?

If the "ENHANCED INTERROGATION TECHNIQUES" were "LEGAL" then why the need for immunity for the interrogators?

If the speed limit is 55mph, do I need immunity to go 54mph?

Notice in the piece the reporter keeps educating the public that these techniques were claimed to be LEGAL by the Justice Department based on a memo written later to be rebutted by the White House. All while she did mention Tenent wanted that immunity for his agents.

George Bush to China: you must respect Tibetan human rights.

China to George Bush: you must stop torturing people.

Bush says he will not boycott China Olympics; says he will do more good pressuring China on human rights by talking to them in person. Care to wager how much influence the worlds leading terrorist and war criminal will have lecturing China on human rights? I can well imagins China's response will be something to the effect of "screw you."

According to Marist, McCain-Rice gets 49% support in the Empire State, while Clinton-Obama gets 46% and Obama-Clinton gets 44%.

plus, Karl Rove advises McCain (informally).

4 more years!

An AP-Ipsos poll taken in late February had Obama leading McCain 51-41 percent. The current survey, conducted April 7-9, had them at 45 percent each. McCain leads Obama among men, whites, Southerners, married women and independents.

Clinton led McCain, 48-43 percent, in February. The latest survey showed the New York senator with 48 percent support to McCain's 45 percent. Factoring in the poll's margin of error of 3.1 percentage points, Clinton and McCain are statistically tied.
