September 24, 2005 -- Anti-war protest in Washington, DC today. Very few Democratic members of Congress to appear. Reason: The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), according to Democratic insiders on Capitol Hill, put out the word that any member of Congress who appeared at the protest, where some speakers were to represent pro-Palestinian views, would face the political wrath of AIPAC. According to Democratic sources on the Hill, Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts was the chief conveyor of the AIPAC warning to his colleagues.

There are so many of us who couldn't be there with you today but please know that we are with you in our hearts and spirit. Your strength and courage is deeply appreciated. Stay safe and undaunted. Somehow this criminal administration must change their course of evil. Bush and his "axis of evil" (Cheney,Rumsfeld,Rove, etc.too many too name) must stop being able to push policies to further bloat the pockets of their rich backers on the lives of innocent people. Our legislators who have a lifetime job complete with obscene perks must stop putting their insatiable need for power and money before the welfare of the people of this country.
With all the brilliance of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, it is too bad our forefathers did not write in them "term limits" for the congress.

Shame on you, Barney Frank. And shame on the rest of you spineless Democrat congressional cowards. Fortunately, there are a few exceptions, notably Rep. Maxine Waters, who cowers before no one.

Barney Frank , if you are not with the AMERICAN PEOPLE, then the AMERICAN PEOPLE will NOT vote for you.

Outstanding idea of a man at our local peace rally today (not DC). He handed out the following on 4" X 5-1/2" sheets of paper (you can type four of these on an 8"X11" and cut 'em to four handouts per sheet). Content>>>

Project for a New American Century

The people who brought us:
> War without end
> Shock and Awe
> Abu Graibh
> War-mongering and war-profiteering
> and on and on.

For a brief introduction, please visit:

I read recently that neocon Richard Perle gave a speech at the last AIPAC meeting. He basically told the audience "Since American troops are in the area...why not invade Iran and Syria?"

This audience, attended by Hillary and the top echelon of the democratic party, stood up and applauded Perle's comments.

The democrats are more afraid of AIPAC's wrath than they are the voters. That has to change.
