You are herecontent / REMEMBER AND RESIST

A call to action for mass civil resistance at the White House on Monday, Sept. 26, 2005.

Mourn the Dead.
Resist Bush’s War.
Bring U.S. troops home, now!

Be part of an historic mass nonviolent action to end the war in Iraq.

For the last two and half years the U.S. war and occupation of Iraq has brought immeasurable death and destruction. This is a war that never should have happened, a war based on lies and greed. It is time to end it and bring our troops home, now.

United for Peace and Justice (UFPJ) invites you to participate in a mass civil resistance action at the White House on Monday, September 26, 2005. As part of three days of public protest against the war in Iraq, this action will provide a dramatic opportunity to more directly express your opposition to the war makers.

Building on many traditions of nonviolent action and civil resistance, the protest at the White House will bring together people from different communities and constituencies. For some people this will be the first time they have risked arrest, for others this will be something they have done before. But for all who participate, the action at the White House will be a vehicle to communicate our deeply held convictions that this war must end now.

Our action on September 26th will remember and mourn the precious Iraqi and U.S. lives lost in this war while forcefully resisting the Bush White House that is responsible for the carnage and suffering. And while we will be at Bush's front door others will be on Capitol Hill as part of a day of grassroots lobbying, pointing out the ways Congress has been a partner in the war-making and that our representatives must now must do their part to end this illegal, immoral war.

We will take our grief and outrage directly to the President, demanding that he hear our message - Bring the Troops Home Now, no more death and destruction. We will begin by solemnly encircling the White House to the intonement of bells and then move in waves to the White House gates to deliver our message. We will not leave until our message is heard!

The nonviolent civil resistance actions being organized by United for Peace and Justice will be focused on the White House. We welcome the creative ideas of affinity groups from around the nation that will help make this the strongest statement possible. And we encourage you to help us bring large numbers of people to participate in this important protest.

UFPJ also expresses solidarity with activists who may act elsewhere that day in a nonviolent manner.

Finally, this action cannot take place without resources. UFPJ must raise $150,000 to support all the actions it is sponsoring September 24-26, including the logistical support needed in preparing for and carrying out the White House action. Take up a collection in your affinity group, call your friends and pull out your wallet. Please make the largest donation to you can by clicking here, or by sending a check to:

Remembering the Dead - Solidifying the "Official Story" of Flight 93.

Another set of people that should be remembered "truthfully" are the victims of 9/11. Has anyone seen this article on CNN about the 1000 acre "Memorial Site"?

I am sorry, but there is still too much about this whole mess that reeks of some sort of "Operation Northwoods" False Flag operation, that it really pisses me off that the 9/11 Commission is pushing so hard to get "movies" and "memorials" dedicated to solidify the "official reality" in the minds of the population.

I wish they would have spent a bit more time looking into that "tower pancake effect" and "mid air explosions with an 8 mile debris field" and a little less time creating the next "John F. Kennedy - killed by Oswald acting alone" Memorial.

Here are some other folks that share your "suspicions" about 9/11.

To me, the smoking gun was always that the "secret service" did NOT move Bush to safety as they are trained to do. In other words, "the dog did not bark" and therefore, it was an inside job.

Just like the "secret service" pulling back agents around John F. Kennedy right before he was shot in Dallas.

So, one begins to question, exactly who does the "secret service" serve???

As important as this gathering is, and it is.
But at this time, i cannot, in good conscience
get anywhere near the white house, or the capitol
and remain civil...for this reason, i must respectfully decline
for the good of all concerned. It's best.

When the battle trumpet is finally blown , and
the call goes out,
i then will rally with sword and musket n hand
for i am not a banner carrier.
