"No Impeachment during 110th Congress"

Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen, on C-Span, after the election, and just before the house vote for Speaker, made a statement to the effect that there would be no impeachment during the 110th Congress. I have queried Democrat web sites as to whether this statement was "a done deal", and as yet have not received an acknowledgement or response. Did anyone else see that item on C-Span?
