FARMER – VETERAN COALITION

Farmers Helping Veterans – Veterans Helping Farmers

Because large numbers of men and women are returning from Iraq and Afghanistan in need of physical, emotional and vocational support,
Because a disproportionate number of our veterans are returning to rural America,
Because our farms are suffering from a lack of young people going into agriculture,
And because we believe that our farms can help to heal our country,

We are announcing the formation of a unique coalition of veterans, their families and their advocates – along with farmers and the farming community – and invite you to:

What: A Public Forum of the Farmer–Veteran Coalition

Where: Elim Lutheran Church
504 Baker Street & Stanley Street
Petaluma, CA 94952

When: Sunday, August 26, 2007, 12 Noon – 3 PM
