Is Bush's weak response to the hurricane the tipping point for major corporate media?

There's a good case to be made that MCM has finally shaken off its fear of the Bush regime. Has the protective propaganda fog around this presidency finally been blown away? That good case is made by Tim Grieve (Salon - War Room) in one of the best essays I've read so far about the political fallout from Katrina. Here's an excerpt:

The first real sign may have come Tuesday afternoon, when CNN's Jack Cafferty, in the middle of a somber exegesis on the devastation in New Orleans, interrupted himself to ask: "Where's President Bush? Is he still on vacation?" Wolf Blitzer said the president was preparing to head back to Washington early. "Oh, that would be a good idea," Cafferty said, his voice dripping with a condescending sort of sarcasm. "Based on his approval rating, based on the latest polls, my guess is getting back to work might not be a terrible idea."

What follows is a concise summary of similar observances from the New Hampshire Union Leader, Newsweek's Fineman, NY Times and the Washington Post.

It is getting interesting. I saw reports on CNN, MSNBC and (!) FOX get really uppitty tonight regarding the hurricane response. It seemed like all the ones that were actually working on location had nothing good to say about the government response. I'm sure they'll all be back to normal by next week (after they get home and get a call from the White House).

Lord help us if any of these people should ever have to do anything difficult. They're behaving like a bunch of spoiled children who've never been acquainted with reality.

They witnessed first hand what will not be shown on American TV. They are entitled to their feelings. Bush's weak response is because he is weak, mentally impaired as a 'former' alcoholic and cocaine addict, and needs to be told what to do...He does not have a clue.

God help us bush is insane

We The People need to take action NOW against the Globalist Elite. We are in the final minutes of our time that will determine the fate of the World! WWIII right around the corner!

Keep in mind when reading this, that the man being interviewed is no two-bit internet conspiracy buff.

Stanley Hilton was a senior advisor to Sen Bob Dole (R) and has personally known Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz for decades. This courageous man has risked his professional reputation, and possibly his life, to get this information out to people.

The following is from his latest visit to Alex Jones' radio show.

What if:

* The Twin Towers were not hit by commercial airliners?
* The World Trade Center was brought down in a controlled demolition?
* The Pentagon was not hit by a 757?
* Flight 93 was shot down?

Four years after September 11th, the American People are left with more questions than answers. This documentary addresses those questions, as well as providing the evidence necessary to begin answering them. From the phony bin Laden tape to the lack of a 757 at the Pentagon, Loose Change wraps everything up into an hour of solid evidence.

It was great to read the Union Leader's response to the White House. Living in New Hampshire myself I haven't seen such a poignant editorial in this ultra conservative newspaper. Maybe it will change the minds 0f the Republican congressmen and senators in this state to support Representative Barbara Lee's Resolution HR375...but i doubt it.

Sometimes Bush's behavior and actions are so stupid that they have to be condemned by any rational individual. On the other hand, the major media are his enablers, protectors, and propagandists, so don't expect them to start telling the truth about Bush anytime soon.
