The Rebush Uncheney Shuffle
By David Swanson
Moral midget Dana Milbank (he who proves that the Constitution does not require impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors by citing the little known fact that most presidents have not been impeached) in this Washington Post "news" article quotes from a speech I made about impeaching Cheney, but omits any mention of Cheney. He says Cindy was wearing a "Impeach Bush Shirt" although her shirt, identical to hundreds of others that Milbank spent hours staring at, read "Impeach Bush and Cheney." We went to lobby for movement on H Res 333, a bill to impeach Cheney. Milbank doesn't mention it. Instead he argues that our movement to impeach Bush is dumb because we'd end up with president Cheney. Now, Milbank is a dishonest twerp, but we assisted him in this one. We had signs and chants about impeaching Bush. We'll only force the media to get the message straight when we do.

Impeachment is not the only option. States may prosecute a sitting President and VP.
Thank you for speaking truth to Power, David, and letting America see what the DNC, Conyers, and current Congress is all about: Complicit with an illegal rebellion against the Rule of Law. Please encourage your friends to continue their pressure; and expand the legal assault by putting Pressure on State AGs to indict and prosecute this sitting President. State AGs who may be receptive to this include the AGs working to bring civil claims against the US government for the NSA violations of State privacy statutes: New Jersey, and Missouri.
Perhaps the same people who are working at the local level passing impeachment proclamations could be mobilized to contact their State AGs to press for their State to prosecute this sitting President and VP outside Congress, outside impeachment. If, as we saw with the House Rule 603, the Federal Government moves to block state efforts to enforce the law with State AG prosecutions, then this will give We the People more information: This Congress is not serious about asserting its oath or defending the Constitution, but remaining Bush's poodle.
Inaction against a President's illegal activity isn't commutation, but additional evidence warranting prosecution of Members of Congress for 5 USC 3331 violations and malfeasance. Conyers isn't immune to disbarment or prosecution unless he plans to request a pardon from the President.
Make him.
What a pitiful piece of reporting by Mr. Milbank. This is the same Milbank who seemed to think Dennis Kucinich's H Res. 333 introducing articles of impeachment against Dick Cheney was a joke. Well guess what? More and more people are reaching the conclusion that they do not need to subscribe to the Pravda. They begged me to subscribe at the grocery store but I just said, "no."
Meanwhile Mr. Milbank is not as stupid as he looks and sounds in his "reporting." He knows that Cheney is the first one up for impeachment. But White House propaganda does not want the corporate media to report that. Therefore, Mr. Milbank plays stupid. We'll get the word out without Mr. Milbank and the Washington Pravda.
His April hit piece on Kucinich proves it.
Watch his facial expression whenever he appears on TV (as he regularly does with Keith Olbermann - one of the few negatives about Countdown).
He has the same condescending smirk we see regularly from Bush, Cheney, Alberto, Tony Snow, and the rest of the neocon goon squad.
His words are worthless.
