President Bush happily picked guitar at one of his famous spin rallies yesterday before a typically cherry-picked audience in Colorado yesterday:

Associated Press photo

Other U.S. Presidents, including his father, made a beeline for major U.S. disaster areas, but not this President. Apparently, the only disasters he appreciates are those he can leverage to invade other countries. The closest he has gotten to this disaster is a 20,000 foot fly-over. A FLY-BY.

It took him 3 days to realize the magnitude of this disaster even though it has had wall-to-wall coverage on CNN and all of the networks. (Of course, it took him 3 days to respond to the Indonesian tsunami, too... but this effected HIS constituents, HIS voters).

He is either woefully uninformed about the daily happenings in the lives of the people he serves or woefully callous. I'm not sure which is worse. And most of these people voted for him!! Now there's a big fat thank you.

Wide swatches of his beautiful Red States have been dropped through a worm hole to the 19th century. Lawlessness and devastation prevail. There's no fresh water, no electricity, no phone service, no mail service, no sanitation. The entire economic base of lower Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama has been eradicated. There's no tax base left to provide for recovery.

The death toll escalates with the rising flood waters.

Where's the National Guard -- DEPLOYED in Iraq. They were never supposed to leave this country exposed for so long.

Where's George? Safely in his cocoon, as usual.

The only good news out of this disaster is that 3 red states have had a wake up call...and the oil industry. They have left the US open to disaster with the war and economic policy of this administration. Like 9/11, Iraq...there were many warnings that the US is exposed to a crisis with the National Guard being gone, their equiptment and the money for states being deferred to Iraq. It will be interesting if his loyal base stays loyal while Bush fiddles in Colorado. Can you believe he is really fiddling? Camp Casey called for help to the stricken area before our leader? Well, the red states must have seen something in this man to be so dedicated to him....maybe they will let the rest of us know.
Intelligent design in schools trumps fiscal responsiblity? or National Guards in the US for disasters?

He was playing guitar.

Anything that gets votes trumps fiscal responsiblity.

Remember that next time you vote for someone because of the pork he brings back from Washington.

---The Bikemessenger

He lost his book, "My Pet Goat."

Yep, that's my take on it, lol!

Your Daddy Bush is asking the rest of the nation who has money to help out, 'cause he spent YOUR Red State tax dollars on his glory call. Wake up.
We will send you money, 'cause we love Louisiana - and because of the seriousness of the situation. Our prayers are with you.

what is this a bush bashing site?? things take time...just because he didn't jump right to something, the situation must be evaluated first to see what would be best to help. Running in without thinking, pretty much what you are criticizing him about, would be illogical and could only cause more confusion and destruction than waiting alittle bit. For all you know, he could have been working from the time he heard about it on something to help with the victims.

Also, about his "spin rally," he has to keep up with other plans that he has made also. Being able to juggle all of these aspects is what makes a great person and president.

As for your comments about the national guard, they can't just drop everything that they are working for overseas. There are many people here that can help but choose not to. These are Americans that sit back and expect the military and President Bush to do everything for them and nothing for themselves. More time should be spent getting Americans to support their fellow Americans, not bashing the president who is also trying to get disaster relief efforts underway. That would be a "big fat thank you." Congratulations on playing the blame game, next time blame yourself for doing no more than blaming 1 man who is trying his hardest to do what is right for everyone in the world.

Sure they can. It only takes one order countermanding the one that put them there in the first place.

First of all, things take time?

It took two days for him to even get off his ass and face the catastrophe that had struck the United States?

A good president is not one that sits there and thinks things over. He can't make a judgement call on what should be done until he has visited the location, and seen this sort of things first hand. He wasn't concerned about relief efforts, jesus...wake up. He sat on his butt and played a little bit of guitar, etc.

We expect him to do a great deal of things and organize things because HE'S OUR PRESIDENT. That is his job!!!! He is the ruler of the free world, and you sit there and say...Aww, just give the guy a bit more vacation. And then after that you say...that we should take more responsibility for ourselves? You complain because we expect our president, the man who received the majority of America's vote...and was therefore put into a position of leading this country...should be let off the hook? I think that even you have realized that our president is a moron. Otherwise you would agree that it's his responsibility to do his job and lead us, which means that he has to tell who to go places, and what to do...when a national crisis emerges.

Friend,

It is great that you found this site. Please, take the time to read as many articles and corresponding comments as you can. Me thinks that you will be intrigued that your fav news source, Fox News, has not covered much of the reality recognized on this site. This intrigue will likely motivate you to read more and more and visit here often! And if you do this, you will have a good perspective on what President George is doing with his time. If you still do not beleive what you read on this site, then take the time to watch the news on PBS or tune in to a channel from outside the USA! Suppose you could also source other internet sites too!

Oh, to remind you of how effective leaders work, they do not act as an island. In other words, if a leader wants '...what is right for everyone in the world... [to use your exact words]' they need to be honest to their constituents AND delegate responsibility to their key staff. So why has President George not addressed the nation in detail about this event OR mobilized his Dick or others on staff to immediately address the worst natural disaster to hit the USA? A fly over at 20,000 feet does not really qualify for much if you ask me (but that is just my humble opinion).

It is my guess the creators and contributors to this site regard it as an expose of the truth not blame innocent folks.

Best wishes and happy reading!
p.s. Tell all your friends to visit here too!

Gosh, go work for Rove. Never mind, you're doin' a good job for him for free.

You are absolutely right............ That photo-op celebrating John McCains birthday was just the right thing to do. I shudder to think what he would do about an emergency that we hadn't prepared for.

I wonder what exactly a President is for? He should have had this sorted in advance. He was so busy prancing around with Iraq and on his ranch he has not tackled homeland security and response to disasters. He failed to respond to preventing 911. He should be held accountable for his lack of leadership. Point your finger at the man who is supposedly in control!

This is about Giving Water and Food to PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOST EVERY THING!! Have you ever been really thirsty! What we are seeing is the most inhumane behavior that any governnment would ever want to display. We should have had water and food dropped to these people on Monday! The way this vacationing President has handled this is impeachable!

Yes I AM POINTING A FINGER AND IT IS THE BIG BIRD!Where is the empathy? George Bush has had a five week vacation. How many of us get five weeks off from work? Let George sit in an attic, head to the roof with water rising. Let him sit in the hot sun with no food or water. Where is the aid, where is the empathany. They have every right to take things from stores to surivive, because the government betrayed these people!!!!This reminds me of let them eat cake!

George Bush is not qualified to be President. We did not elect him. He got the job through voter fraud. which is the only way he could. His crimes continue. Now, so many have died for a lie and manipulated information. I viewed this link, supplied by Frank to this site: http://www.iwilltryit.com/fixed1.htm

I have written my newspaper, my Senators, and other leaders, to have something done about this now. God help us all...

I am a Colorado resident and I didn't hear anything about the President being here yesterday. Could someone tell me what city or town he was in?

I don't want to think that someone posted a lie here on this blog.

He sneaks into Florida too and we elected his brother governor!

And besides, if people know he's coming in advance, something might go wrong, and he might be confronted with someone who opposes him.

dear "quit pointing the finger...". go over and fight your president's war for oil (oil for him and his extended family) and see what good it does you. He'll not share any of the wealth with you or your survivors. Using the military for his selfish cause is unthinkable. Also, get your story straight: 1). we now know that 911 could have been prevented and thousands of lives were sacraficed; and 2) bush's war in Iraq would have waged with or without 911. Iraq has nothing to do with the "terrorists" of 911. It was a handy excuse. The agenda of this administration has to do with accumulating more wealth for those who have the wealth to monetarily support it. Bashing bushbashers isn't going to help it. the administration does not need your support. You and the rest of us are merely ants on a hill, ekeing out livings and giving it to the wh machine. So, how 'bout it? - you going to war with Iraq, sit there blogging, or vote to impeach this America hating boy president. I'm sorry. You are a good person. Nothing personal. Read more and wake-up, or...wait and see. No insult intended.

The fact that you think this war was for oil shows how idiotic you and the rest of the left wing kooks are. If you haven't been to the pumps lately, you may want to go check it out. So if we are there for oil, it wouldn't be $3+/gallon. What we need is for the tree-huggers to stop bitching and allow us to build some refineries. We haven't built one in 20 YEARS!!!! So you can blame the cost on the tree-huggers that won't let that happen or let us find more oil under our own soil. Alaska could have as much as Saudi Arabia but we might inconvenience some carabu??? Give me a freakin break. I hope the price goes up to $5/gallon to teach you idiots a lesson. I can afford it and it won't hurt my business.

1) we know that Clinton knew about 4 of the terrorist 1 year before 9-11 when HE WAS IN OFFICE you idiot but did nothing to authorize their detainment. Why? Because they had valid Green Cards!?!?!?!? And because he didn't want to infringe on their civil liberties. Great Job Bill!!!!! Hence the reason he won't speak up against this war. Even your hero sees the good we are doing through all the BS of the left wing media.

I read your websites to see just how out of touch with reality you people are. You may want to do some more research of your own before you open your mouth. So keep reading this site and others like it. You are another sheep in the left wing kook's herd. Good luck with your impeachment efforts...HAHAHA!!!!! You people....

Peace out,

Richie "The Right Wing Kook" Rich

We don't have their oil yet, you nimrod. There's a little thing called an insurgency going on in that part of the world.

The high price of gas is certainly hurting the average American but the oil barons couldn't be happier. They are reaping record profits with the price of oil at record highs. The plan sure seems to be working in favor of the ultra rich oil merchants. Yep, they couldn't be happier about the high price of gas. Wake up to the reality of who is running the country and what their motives are. Between oil barons, weapons dealers, and religious zealots who want to impose their religion on the whole population. That is who is profiting from the Bush agenda, at the expense of our nation.

What took you so long?
Oh, I know, busy fighting the evils of monotheism.

P.S. Coming soon on my blog:
Atheism and Libertarianism: Inextricably linked?
http://www.smallgov.org

Let me get something across to you people:

The Right does not want record oil prices. You people say this all the time and it is ridiculous. What you are basically saying is that corporate america, that you contend is run by the Right, wants record gas prices????? This is a safe assumption right? So you are saying that the Right wants to draw their bread and butter (the economy) into a recession? This is correct? Why in the world would we want ot do this? High gas prices lead to reduced consumer spending, which leads to LOWER PROFITS and LOWER STOCK PRICES. This would hurt the Right Wing's portfolio. Isn't that exaclty what we don't want to happen??? I get it, you think that every Rightie took their ENTIRE portfolios and sold everything and bought nothing but BP and Exxon right? How stupid are you people??? If we had it our way, gas would be .25/gallon so consumer spending would be through the roof and every stock in our collective portfolios would be kicking a$$.

Free Thinker??? How about non-thinker? You people need to think about things before you say them. I know, I know, us Conservatives are the dumb ones... My bad. :(

Richie "The Right Wing Kook" Rich

To Right wing Kook,et al and your left-mirror image adversaries. It's kind of sad, because of all the inevitable negative consequences to all of us regardless of which side wins.

Watching from the outside, I have to wonder if it ever occurs to any of you big brother worshipers of the right or the left, that all your acrimonious strife is over what the perverse excesses of central authority will do with their awesome power that should'nt exist to start with. You both regard yourselves as champions of freedom and you're all a (or should I say two)bunch(es) of hypocrites.Government authority is drawn from those governed; therefore, it varies inversely with freedom. If the government was'nt in on everything, you would'nt have anything to fight over.

Freedom means being able to engage in voluntary, mutually beneficial economic transactions, with the government not involved, except to enforce contracts, establish and defend property rights (the most fundamental of natural human rights)and prosecute fraud and coercion. You leftys don't want to grasp that and it's struggle for you, because you're generally not stupid enough to pull it off easily, but you seem to manage. I guess all that whining about how the government should micro-manage every aspect of our material lives helps you avoid thinking clearly.I always hope your clarity of mind about the war in Iraq and related issues might seep into the part of your brain where all that economic class warfare nonsense is.It's the government's involvement that allows some an unfair advantage to start with, that's why any reduction in government regulation (the REAL ones, not California utilities style "deregulation")ALWAYS result in substantial economic improvement. When people are free to produce and trade, they ALWAYS prosper. When they are limited by coercive bureaucracy, they are impoverished."Redistribution" of wealth (nothing but a weak euphemism for theft) always leads to poverty because it redirects incentive from production to comsumpton.

Meanwhile, you right wing nuts need to understand that other people's life styles are none of your damned business. What people do in the privacy of their homes is off limits to your hypocritical moralizing. And where do you get off persuing that perverse, "war on drugs" of yours? Free people don't have the government telling what they can put in their bodies, that; and your brutal crimes against Iraq show what a bunch of callous, meddlesome sadists you are.

You both need to get over your government controlled school indoctrination and learn about what government really is and how it's fundamental nature severely limits the matters that government should address in free society.

That's the understanding that guided the writers of the Declaration of Independence. The Constitution was written to limit the federal government, not you.

If any of you ever have any questions about how libertarian solutions can solve these and all social problems,in ways that would accommodate both sides to a degree you probably would'nt expect, there are plenty of instructive websites such as:

Your idiot golden boy "president" has announced yet another reason for being in Iraq - to PROTECT THE OIL FIELDS FROM TERRORISTS.

And the protection is for his interests, not ours. The fact that we're being gouged into poverty at the pump is just further evidence that the continued evil effort to enrich Dumbya's biggest contributors while eliminating the middle class in this country continues unabated. Check the quarterly profits.

And the fact that the "Libs" or "Dems" or "Left" in Washington is doing NOTHING to counter this gouging is further evidence of the fact that there's really only ONE party inside the Beltway.

Nice to know you can afford $5 per gallon. But if you actually have any smarts or any semblance of what it means to be a REAL American buried in that head full of shit, you'll join the fight to keep government from gaining too much power over the people.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

John Perry
http://www.johnperryonline.com

You try and try, John Perry. Yet you have no counter to the FACTS that I present. You say, Protect the oil fields says bush. The Iraqi people want to protect their oil, it is their only viable commodity to make profits for the county and for its people. But that is why we are there. I hope you know that we could have all the oil in the world and as our demand goes up gas prices will go up even if oil was $1/barrel. We don't have enough refineries to meet our own growing demands. It is simple supply and demand in action.

One party now huh? Maybe you should see how hate filled and out of reality you people are when your own party won't back you and what you say????

I truly hope that this gives industries a kick in the a$$ to prduce alternative fuels vehicle that are affordable. I think it would be a great thing. We could keep all the refineries that we have and our demand for petro would decrease as would the price of gas. I am ALL FOR IT. You people are obviously not finance or economics majors...

How do you make a Kook kookier> SHRED YOUR REPUBLICAN VOTER CARD!
(As long as they let one Neocon in their GOP, the Republicans will no longer be voted in)

You need to focus your energy on improving things. Examine facts. Take action. Don't waste you energy here. In fact, sign up and fight this Iraq war you support. They need soldiers and you'll probably do since they increased the enlistment age and reduced the qualifications. Go fight, and get your righty buddies to sign up too, since you are so persuasive.

You are so smart in what you have to say but please give more infomation, regarding the plan to go after the oil. The new American project for the 21,st century written by Chenney, Rumseld, Libby and others in this administration were penned long ago, the plan is in effect.I am concerned about the lack of food and water being given to these people in New Orleans. Just another example of a totally corrupt government!

Hey Guys, He was in Coronado, San Diego, CA. Not Colorado.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but that was Coronado, San Diego, CA.

For those of you wondering why it took W so long to react to this crisis you have to understand that it took that long in finding HURRICANE in the dictionary and find out what it meant.

So give the man a break, remember it is hard being the president, really hard. He's always a working real hard at it, and thinking about Iraq and this hurricane thing every day. Even when he's on his ranch.

This just in... Cheney has been able to link Hurricane Katrina to Iran and their pursuit of nukes. It's true! They made it happen! We need to invade RIGHT NOW!!!!!
Don't argue with Uncle Dick and he won't have to ruin you in the press like Valerie Plame.

Impeach this fool. Then send him and his cronies to Abu Graib.
