established to coordinate the efforts of 14 federal agencies that will

NEW* SANTORUM in Honesdale, PA: U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum will visit
Wayne Memorial Hospital today to discuss health care issues. Mr.
Santorum will have lunch in the hospital's boardroom and then tour the
construction site of the new emergency department from noon to 1:15 p.m.
The hospital has requested about $4.5 million from the federal
government for radiology expansion, purchase of a high-speed,
multi-slice CAT scanner and a new MRI, and the development of a Women's

Bush to visit the storm-ravaged areas of the Gulf Coast later this week.

HUGHES in Rosemont, IL: Karen Hughes will attend the Islamic Society of
North America's 42nd annual convention at Rosemont's Donald E.
Stephens Convention Center outside of Chicago. ISNA joined other Muslims
across the nation last month in endorsing a fatwa, or religious decree,
against acts of violence carried out in the name of religion. At this
year's four-day convention, the Indianapolis-based organization's newly
formed anti-terrorism committee will pass out brochures that illustrate
how vicious acts spurred by extremism are the "antitheses" of Islam.
This year's ISNA's conference theme is "Muslims in North America:
Accomplishments, Challenges and the Road Ahead." Highlights include
panel discussions on the Patriot Act, Latino Muslims and women-friendly

ROMNEY in Israel: Romney has scheduled his "first international trip as
governor" for. He will go to Israel as a guest of the American Israel
Public Affairs Committee, "the most powerful pro-Israel lobby" in the
U.S. This trip to the Middle East "could help fill a major gap in his
thin resume on international issues and offer him an introduction to a
group that can provide strong financial support" for a WH bid. [National

DeLAY in Westminster, MD - 6:30 PM: The Carroll County Republican
Central Committee will hold an evening with House Majority Leader Tom
DeLay of Texas on Sept. 8 at Martin's Westminster. Social time starts at
6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Times may change to accommodate
DeLay's schedule. Tickets are $800 for a table of 10, $85 for a single
ticket, and $150 for a photo/dinner ticket for a single or couple.

ROMNEY in New York City: Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney will speak
at New York City's Harvard Club to members of the elite Manhattan
Institute. The think tank is home to many of the city's political movers
and shakers and is a close ally of Romney's potential 2008 GOP opponent,
former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani. Founded in the 1970s, the
Manhattan Institute is funded through $9 million in annual donations and
is widely viewed as New York City's most influential political group.
The Institute publishes the City Journal, an urban magazine considered a

CHENEY in Houston, TX: Vice President Cheney will appear on congressman
Tom DeLay's behalf at a luncheon in Houston, according to a letter DeLay
sent supporters announcing the event. Two tickets, a photo with Cheney,
nice seats and something called a "VVIP" reception are going for
$12,600. "Sponsors" can get in for $8,400, but won't get priority
seating. "Friends" can get one seat and entry to a "VIP" reception --

Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany for a meeting at the White House on October 3,
2005. Hungary is a close NATO ally which has made important

and the Balkans. The President and the Prime Minister will discuss our
common commitment to working together to advance freedom in Europe,

DOLE in Greensboro, NC - 6 PM: Former President Bill Clinton and former
Sen. Bob Dole will headline a fund-raising gala in Greensboro in
September to raise money for Bennett College for Women. A reception for
Clinton and Dole will be held at Grandover Resort and Conference Center
at 6 p.m. on Sept. 21. At 7 p.m., Bennett contributors can attend the

Book Festival will feature more than 80 authors speaking and signing
books in several pavilions on the National Mall. It ends at 5:00 PM.

SANTORUM in Sayre, PA: Senator Rick Santorum will attend a benefit for
the Sayre Theatre. Several months ago, the Sayre Theatre helped out a
local nonprofit foundation with a fundraiser. Now, the foundation will
help the theater. The festivities are expected to be daylong, and will
include several celebrities from politics, entertainment and sports.
Actor James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader in the Star Wars
movies, is one of the headliners. Gov. Ed Rendell has been invited and
Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin is scheduled to attend the event. [Towanda

RICE in Princeton, NJ: U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice plans to
visit Princeton University to give the keynote speech that will kick off
the 75th anniversary year of Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson
School of Public and International Affairs. The school is planning
various lectures, conferences and other events from Sept. 30 through
