There are now 53 co-sponsors on Barbara Lee's Resolution of Inquiry into the Downing Street Memos, including one Republican member of the International Relations Committee, Jim Leach. If your Representative isn't on this list yet, please call their D.C. office and ask to speak to the Legislative Director. Ask why they haven't cosponsored HRes375, and then report back to us. A vote in committee will come between Sept. 6 and Sept. 16.

Why Aren't Your Kids Fighting in Iraq?
By Bob Fertik, President of Democrats.com
Dear Senator/Representative,
If you support the War in Iraq, why aren't you or your children or your
grandchildren fighting there?
The Army is short of soldiers because of the Iraq War disaster. This
shortage has put our national security in danger throughout the world.
Your family can help fix the problem that you created by supporting the
Iraq War disaster.
As your constituent, I will continue to ask this question until you call
for the withdrawal of America's children from Iraq.

All (CO Residents),

Perhaps many of you are aware that the first Republican has signed onto Barbara Lee's (D-CA-9) Resolution of Inquiry (H.Res. 375). This Resolution is important in that it would allow for a formal Congressional review into communications between the U.S. and U.K. regarding war plans and possible deceptions by the Bush administration leading up to the war and occupation in Iraq.

Perhaps you know that none of the CO democratic U.S. Representatives (Rep's.) have yet to sign onto Barbara Lee's Resolution. That's right Diana DeGette (D-CO-1), John Salazar (D-CO-3) and Mark Udall (D-CO-2) have yet to commit to this very important Resolution.

But we have one Republican Representative (Rep.) committed to this Resolution. Yes kudos to James A. Leach (R-IA-2).

What could make this situation more ironic? Well let us say what if Marilyn Musgrave was the first Republican U.S. Representative to support this Resolution. Perhaps that would shame our democratic leadership into action and support this Resolution. But of course this is not the case.

But the fact of the matter is that one Republican U.S, Rep. has found it appropriate to support Barbara Lee while none of our CO democratic Rep's. have yet to weigh-in.

"Oh What A World."

We cannot allow Bush and this administration to betray the trust given to him by The People of these United States. He and they must be made to answer the allegations brought forth by the Downing Street Memo(s). If the war were to end today without resolution of the issues brought to light by the Downing Street Memo(s) we would still be left with the same administration that wreaked havoc on so many people of the world.

I've noticed the party of corruption and crimes--formerly known as Republicans--are refusing to hold this criminal administration accountable for their lies, fraud, and high crimes and misdemeanors.

Maybe if we throw a blue dress out their with a "Downing Street Memo is proof" stain emblazzend across the front, they may decide to investigate the stain on the blue dress. (I'm sure we can find some ejaculate to use to make it more likely they'll investigate the stain on the blue dress.) (Forget the stain on our country and the blood on their hands!)
