I just returned from the DNwebsite where I read the transcript of the interviews.

I felt compelled to comment. The Marine vet's comments really struck me. His ability to observe his surroundings in Iraq and see the double standard of this administration is to be commended. The people should award him a medal for honesty.

The mothers have all of our prayers and sympathies. They and the vets also have our undying support to rid our country of the phony PNAC's and their violent and deceitful ways.

God bless you all!

Some of you say that anti-war supporters are giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Your esteemed leader has stated exactly the opposite.

"[T]he enemy knows that its greatest defeat lies in the expression of free people ..." George W Bush.

He was referring to the Iraqis, of course, but one hopes that Americans are also allowed to assist in that strategy of free expression.

Who came up with the terms "Pro War" and "Anti War" in this continuing debate. Isnt there a middle of the road? Why does everybody always have to be in one camp or the other? Why does one have to be Democrat or Republican? Why does one have to be liberal or conservative? Why cant we just think for ourselves and get rid of these hateful labels?

Your point about labels is certainly a valid one, Chris. My only excuse is that my comment was directed at people who themselves prefer that form of attack (labelling and name calling) and who seem to understand no other approach.

I have no idea where all of the various group identification labels originated, but I'll gladly follow your advice in dealing with people like yourself who prefer issue-based and fact-based discussions.

In lieu of Bush confiscating our American troops civil rights by imposing an illegal and unjust war upon their very lives, it is time for parents and families and soldiers to ask the UN "What are my international rights when my country invades a sovereign nation illegally?"
