You are herecontent / The Anti-Cindy Camp
By davidswanson - Posted on 26 August 2005
There never seem to be more than 3 people there, but there is an anti-Cindy "camp" in Crawford. In the back of it is a board with a schedule written on it of counter protests. Here's a photo of it.
Here are more photos.
How can there be large crowds at the support the war camp, they are all in Iraq.
I think you'd be suprised to know what a lot of the troops there REALLY think of what's going on...
As "literacy challenged" as the signs at the anti-Cindy camp would seem to indicate, its no wonder they don't know the truth, likely not being literally inclined enough to read about the facts and how they were lied to. What in the world is a "schedue" on their board? They note a candle "serice" to be held. Their lack of attention to detail mirrors their loose understanding of the issues. That don't make them bad people, since they don't claim to be experts in PR. They were just duped by their leaders and think they are doing the right thing.
What a poor excuse for an organization. You'd think the pro-war people would help them out a bit, if even to hire a few actors to go down there and fill out their camp, or send some money down so they could do their bus ride thing that fell through. Guess the higher ups in the organization think they have it made and no need to make a good show against the Cindy camp. They are in for a rude awakening.
I just always feel sorry for people being duped, like these poor people who have been misled about why their loved ones died, and are unaware of where to look to seek out the right answers. Hopefully someday they will stumble on the truth and have an "a-ha" moment.
