Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee will be holding a Town Hall meeting on Thursday August 25th, 2005, at 7 p.m. CT entitled Iraq: Where Do We Go From Here?

Almost 2,000 of our American soldiers are dead because of the War in Iraq. No plan exists from the Bush Administration for a successful exit strategy to end this war. Meanwhile mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, sons and daughters ones are mourning their loved ones who gave their lives in Iraq.

You are asked to come listen to experts talk about the right plan for Iraq and participate in a dialogue that will be carried back to the United States Congress. You will hear presentations from experts on Iraq and testimony from the Gold Star Mothers who lost their loved ones in this war that has gone on for more than two years.

Additionally, you will see scenes from the documentaries "Uncovered: the War in Iraq" and "Caught in the Crossfire."

This important Town Hall meeting will be held at the Metropolitan Community Church at 2025 West 11th Street in Houston, Texas.

If you have any questions regarding this event please contact Congresswoman Jackson Lee's office at (713) 655-0050.

We hope you will be in attendance for this vital discussion on an issue that continues to impact our nation and the world.
