What if:

* The Twin Towers were not hit by commercial airliners?
* The World Trade Center was brought down in a controlled demolition?
* The Pentagon was not hit by a 757?
* Flight 93 was shot down?

Three years after September 11th, the American People are left with more questions than answers. This documentary addresses those questions, as well as providing the evidence necessary to begin answering them. From the phony bin Laden tape to the lack of a 757 at the Pentagon, Loose Change wraps everything up into an hour of solid evidence.

This article clearly shows the insanity of religious fundamentalism - whether it is Islamic or Christian. It is so deeply disturbing to see what actually is behind some of the most stubborn and passionate support for this war and the Bush administration....nothing more than severe delusion, ignorance and insanity. I don't see how the minds of these two "soldiers for Christ" in the coffee shop in New York are any different than the minds of "soldiers for Mohammad" in a madras school somewhere in Pakistan. They are just living on different sides of the planet. Is this really at the core of this thing in Iraq? Are the plundering corporations and oil barrons just parasites along for the ride? This is some BIZARRE trip we're on. I don't think ANYONE knows what it is really about.

Bush is a fundamentalist evangelical Christian. They believe in the Rapture, a weird reading of the book of Revelations. Basically the idea is this: the end times are not only near, the faithful saved by Jesus will soon disappear from the earth, physically removed, an event that signals the Tribulation -- seven years of catastrophic events to be endured by those yet to be converted, at the end of which Jesus will return to earth, save those who have seen the light, and the rest of humankind will be destroyed in Armaggedon (which, by the way, necessitates the state of Israel existinting to be destroyed as a prelude). Which explains further the theory of blessed wealth...why curb yourself of acquisition when the world is doomed anyway? Might as well have caviar and cigars 'til Jesus comes to get rid of all the annoying mud people. At least the radical Islamists like the poor folks.

If this all sounds wild, ask someone to explain the Rapture to you.

There's enough "religious thought" out there to support the entire spectrum of human folly. That's the problem. There's too damn much respect for diverse evils masquerading as religion.

Hitler declared that he was christian. He used the name of God to send millions of Jewish people to the death camps. He used the name of God to invade the countries around him. He used the name of God to force his "master race" on the world. In most of what he did, he declared that it was a mandate from God, as if that justified killing millions of people.

Anyone who hears of the atrocities that occured during his reign would ask themselves why nobody did anything about it. People say "why didn't anybody stand up against it." The sad truth is that they truly beleived that it was for the good of the country. They didn't dare question the goverment becuase it would have been "unpatriotic."

I see too many similarities from that time and today. People ignore any facts presented to them and blindly defend a person whose integrity has come under question. They decide to turn a deaf ear to any reports of deaths cause by our own troops torturing the very people that they were to have liberated. They decide that to question a member of our governemt is unpatriotic and any attempt to hold them accountable for any shortcomings or incompetence is treasonous. These people feel that limiting some peoples freedoms is needed to protect their own freedoms. I have a question for our government, not just the president or congress, but everyone who gets paid by our taxes:

When is it going to end?

No one can truley call themselves a Christian and agree with the shedding of innocent blood! CHILDREN are being murdered slayed on the street all because they were born in a country that had oil and somebody else wanted it! The Bible tells us to love one another but not to support others insanity.
I live in an area in Texas that is so Pro-bush that I am literally frightened that I will loose my job or even my life for standing up for the right cause. I have been a coward! Hiding what I truley believe afraid to say anything. Whispering to friends so others cant hear what we are talking about.
The stupidity of the ones who have said "of course Bush lied, theres no doubting that, but he is still a great president " it drives me mad, having heard that same thing so many times!
It is human nature to lie, I will give him that, but he is one of the only people- I know of - who has murdered hundreds of people for his own check-books good!

I was drafted in 1969... I went to Basic, AIT and OCS. I was commissioned a 2nd LT in September 1970. went to jump school, Green Beanie training, Ranger Training, MI school at Ft. Holabird, MD. If you can't tell, my logic was to go to Military schools long enough to avoid having one year remaining on my active obligation... had to have more than 365 days left to be sent. I didn't make it...

Got my orders, went to Travis... found myself in Laos/Thailand seeking out/fighting/killing anything that moved in the area.

There were no religious debates on the ground... when the boots hit the swamp after rapelling out of a Cherokee, it was a question of "the Mission" and getting out alive. When the teo came into conflict, my choice was to save our own lives rather than carry out another "mission" ...signifying nothing!

The bill paid in SE Asia for Pentagon and civilian idiocy was paid by a bunch of kids (for the most part) who were told their sacrifice was noble... the same spittle of "noble sacrifice, stay the course (ohmygod!)..." came out of Nixon's mouth that we hear from Bush and has minions.

There are Lies, Damned Lies and (Statistics?...no.) right-wing patriotism" (all respect to B. Disraeli)
